Extreme Veteran 787 Glendora, CA. | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! Cyclingmaniac is 100% plus!!!!!! I'm at: 22375 yds out of 20000 yd swim! So I'm giving 2375 yds to "So Fresh, So Clean". 43.67 miles out of 40 miles run! So I'm giving 3.67 miles to "So Fresh, So Clean". I didn't have a swim scheduled Saturday, but threw one in for 4000yds which put me over! My run today put me over the top! I'll be running tomorrow also for additional milage along with a swim in the evening. Guys! If there are others that need help meeting goal, let us know by Monday night so we can collectively smoke the gals! I really want to see them in their two piece! |

Extreme Veteran 787 Glendora, CA. | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! Thanks Karl..... If we take my extra run milage and Feliperubio's extra run mileage, that will take care of "So Fresh, So Clear"'s run milage. So Fresh, So Clear is shy 14,248 yds on the swim Shermbelle is shy 81.2 miles on the run 28,808 yds on the swim Shermbelle said he might be able to get another 26.5 miles run in and 8500 (?) yds in the swim this week. Guys if we don't pick up these numbers, we may be wearing speedos. I'll be logging more running and swimming.....unfortunately I am slow! I'm tracking using a self-made spreadsheet. If you have distance to donate, once you make your totals and have extra distance to donate, please PM me each day with the extra distance you have available. THANKS! (If someone else started tracking this on the Men's team, let me know and I'll bow out so I don't muddy up the works!) THANKS and have a GREAT ... FUN ... week! |

Expert 1023 Ft Gordon, GA | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! I finished my swim goal today! I am at 12,050 meters for the month and my goal was 12,000 meters (I've swam further this month than every other month in my entire LIFE combined!) I have 1.7 miles to go to finish my run totals. I'm planning on a 5 to 6 mile run tomorrow so I'll be over in that as well! Let's do the best we can as a team to make up the deficits! Drive on, guys! Edited by Karl Hungus 2007-08-27 5:57 AM |

Totals for week ending 8/25: Swam -- 3,000 yards Ran -- 10 miles 13,832 yards done -- pledged 17,000 = 81% 33 miles done -- pledged 40 - 82% I'm right on track to wrap it up this week. I will try to put in extra wherever I can. Looks like the weather will be more cooperative for the outdoor pool. Daylight is getting shorter and it's tough to get up and get out there when it's still dark -- BUT YOU CAN DO IT LADIES! Just 5 more days! |

Expert 626 Las Vegas, NV | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! With bonus swim this morning on my training day off, here are my latest in stats: Swim: 45,900 meters or 50,196.24 yards Goal: 40,000 meter or 43,744 yards Run: 61.27 miles Modified increased goal: 65 miles fm 50. Most ever in a month in my whole life, including my NCAA College swimming days. I just can't believe that I may put in over 50,000 meters or 54,680.00 yards in for the month. That is definitively a heck of a best for me, and speed is really feeling good in the water. Weight loss is really looking good for this month. Almost 10lbs from all this training. Kick A$$ month for me. Let's get rolling gent's I can't wait till Donto has our new totals on the board. All my swim for this week are to help "So Fresh So Clean" with the injury he sustained. Let's pull it together guy's as the girls are also pulling it together. GO GO GO!!!! Edited by devouahy 2007-08-27 9:49 AM |

Pro 6582 Melbourne FL | Subject: Week 4 Results - RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! OK Boys and Girls, here are the week 4 results. With 80.6% of the month passed only the BIG BAD BOYS have completed above that mark for the 'Individual %'. It is still close on the 'Teams Indv Goals met %', so this week is the key to who actually wins this thing, remember, the 'Teams Combined %' will determine the winner.
Nice work everyone, I saw some serious numbers being put up! Attachments ---------------- Week4a-August-07-Swim And Run Challenge-Final Roster.zip (35KB - 34 downloads) |

Expert 626 Las Vegas, NV | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! All right, my legs are almost shot fm running, but for the sake of not wearing a banana hammock, I'm willing to cast away my training log and add a whole lot just for the boys this week. Today and Friday were resting days. I will add swims and two additional (run about everyday) run both today and friday over everything else. For the two injured boys, you are going to owe me big. I'll add another long run tonight, and will double up on on Friday as my day off. Don't expect me to do this again. You are lucky as I don't have a race until next year in March, so I will take this as long baseline workouts. Friday will go the the lake and plan for an afternoon super long course swim. I have a friend who has offered to ride his boat next to me for OWS protection, and got special permission from partk services (Helps to have friends in high places). Planning on swimming fm beach out to boulder island, then to dead mans island, then back through island and then to shore. This is supposed to be a few hours. Thinking on a 2 to 3 hour swim. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, so here we go. As a return, all I ask is for a place to stay at for some of the races I want to do away from here. Cheers. |

We're up on the totals as of now but that can change in a heart beat. Keep on working. FR There is definitely running that needs help on the guys side. One of our injured guys has quite a bit of running left over. As many of us as possible are trying to log extra miles to help bring down the deficit. So, run as much more as is safe for you and we'll add it back into the total. Thanks, Buck |

FR I have 20 miles left to do with a sore left foot (PF). Tomorrow morning will determine if I can make it or not as tonight I'm doing a 4 mile test run. I'll nail the swimming though, I developed an itch to get in the water, that's a good thing for me! |
