That is so aweome Mary.  I am sure she is so proud of herself.  I have 2 step-kids who are 9 and 5 and they want to do the kids triathlon series next year.  I also have a 16 year old son how absolutely smokes me in running.

See if you can walk at least 1 mile each day for the next couple of days - it might help you recover some.

Well, I have 2.1 miles left, and it isn't going to stop.  More coming this week for TEAM LD!

We is bad, yo!

Hey all - I'm sorry, but I'm throwing in the towel. Or a used kleenex, whatever. I'm still sick and it doesn't seem to be getting better.  I'll cheer y'all on, be jealous that you can run, and join in on the next round.

 GO LIVING DEAD!!!

Mary, way to go in getting your daughter into sports!  Doesn't look like one of the masses I see with pudge hanging out while dragging her feet around the mall with an ice cream cone! Great swim times, did she get any hardware from the race?  Really cool, I wish my parents had pushed me into a pool when I was a kid and not a broom closet...but that's for a different forum!!

Ell, I hope you're feeling better soon.  That really sucks that you're all snotty still.  Hope it's nothing too serious, I know you sounded pretty miserable last week.

Me however, I am a superstar and could beat the daylights out of all your little kids.  I said little, anyone over 8 is not included!!  Well 9 or 10 if they were out late at a sleepover or something.  Ran 12 miles today, due to having to save the world on Saturday and wrecking my weekend and doing the HAZ MAT thing but I am down to owing 8 miles of whick I should be able to surpass.  I hope, my knee is very sore tonight, icing as we type.  but if Nancy can do it with her foot problems...well then she can do my 8 miles too!!!!!  kidding i'll do it myself I guess.  Okay team time fo rme to take off all my clothes and climb into bed.  How's that for an image as you all choke down your morning coffees?!?!?  heheheh.

Yogin, you are awesome.  That is GREAT.  Someone asked me yesterday, "Chris, do you know what's really cool?"  I said, "Yogin61." They said "What in the hell is a Yogin61?" I said, "Honestly? Yogin61 is; "what is cool."

So thanks.  Thanks for proving my point!

LOL HAZMASTER!!!

Brought a smile to my face this morning Well let me explain...The picture is of Yogin, my Siamese friend who I am a guardian for... or rather he is a guardian for me The hat he has on says FIRECAT.
Yogin roughly translated from Sanskrit means 'union or one with God.'

The 61 comes from a type of helicopter I used to fly...a Sikorsky S61N. Big and stable...unlike myself...ha ha ha.

Hazmaster, you are the Running Man! Way to clock the miles or are those Kilometres, living in Burnaby and all???

why? because he looks so fine in a skirt that he's getting chased?

then again, who cares why - he's on our team and he's accomplishing his goal so we all win!

aww, that sux royal! how much do you have left in your goal? on another challenge i did - team members were allowed to pick up slack of the injured/sick.

does it count against the team if not all the original members finish? just curious.

i would like to boost my goal another 7 miles. i am afraid that once i reach my goal i will just kind of slack off and quit. i dont want that to happen. another seven miles is very doable for me but it definatly will push my ability. so a 27 mile goal

I contacted Cat and Saling. She's cool, and he will just delete my row in the spreadsheet. No harm done do our standings or averages. I think there was a "no makeups" clause in the rules at the beginning. Everyone does their own miles. Hubby said he would run mine, but that's not in the rules either. Next time. I sure would rather be running. Oh well. The world goes as it will and not how I would have it.

 GO LIVING DEAD!!!
