Quote for the day.......

" There are high spots in all of our lives and most of them have come about through encouragement from someone else. I don't care how great, how famous or successful a man or woman may be, each hungers for applause."
--- George Matthew Adams

So be sure to inspire at least one other "peach" member every day!!

Speaking of inspires - I love that quote on your blog that goes "One day my body will no longer be able to do this. Today is not that day!" I'm not a big one for corny quotes but that one mirrors my sentiments about life to a T!

Actually, do you mind if I borrow that quote for my signature line?

Not a problem at all...go for it!

canadarn2001 - 2008-11-06 8:12 AM Met a friend at 5:30am this morning for a run...we got 47 mins in! We must be crazy getting up at that time!

I did almost the exact same thing.  At least there is some comfort in knowing other crazies are out there!

If y'all are crazy for getting up at 5:30 for a run, what does that say about me getting up at 5 for mine? Good job peaches!
You guys are indeed crazy...the only time I'm awake at that ungodly hour is when I have not yet been to bed!!!!

Heck, I get up at 4:08 for my workouts. I could probably push it to 4:18 and not drink my coffee, but I feel it's worth it.

Quite crazy!

The only time I would be up at that time is if I hadn't been to bed yet!!!!

Ha, Ha! That sounds like my husband. He also says the only time he runs is if someones chasing him!

Well you beat me on the crazy scale Maybe we should come up with a sliding scale based on what time we get up. I did 4:45 this morning, but that's the earliest I'll do. Somehow that 15 minute difference from my normal 5AM is just brutal!

It's because before 5:00am it STILL NIGHTTIME!!!

Shermbelle - 2008-11-06 10:15 PM Used a couple of mulligans on Tues and Wednesday (just taking my dog on his walk) and a short trainer ride tonight but tomorrow hopefully will be able to report a nice 100+ mi ride and short run. Just need the weather to co-operate

Enjoy your ride -- hope the weather's good!

I made it to Aikido practice for an hour this morning.  If I'm really motivated I might head to the pool during lunch.

Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes...not sure how I'll do! It's suppose to be great weather! I'll keep you all posted!!

My thoughts exactly. I thought about doing back to back longerish rides 3-4 hours but decided on the one long one due to the chance of crap starting tomorrow. Frown

I've been bad about posting my peaches ~ I'll work on this!   I ran 3.5 miles last night and will hopefully be able to swim today but it all depends on what time hubby gets home.  I may just end up running again!

At a conference from 7:45-5 with 90-120 minutes commuting to & from but I had to get my peach today. Although a run or bike would have been great I squeezed in a 25 minute walk.  Since I was at a psychiatric hospital I wasn't sure that running was in my best interest.  Did see a few bike commuters on my way in-kudos to them out at rush hour in the wet.  Hope you all have a PEACHY time this weekend.
