Well, lucky me got sat next to a lady with a cold on my flight last Sat...

Got to love airplanes.  Giant flying tubes of disease...  Anyway, I was cursing to myself when she was hacking up a lung for the entire flight and predicted it.  Nothing like sharing contaminated air for 3.5 hours...  Sure enough, woke with a cold on Tuesday as predicted.

I tell you what, if anyone wants to wage biological war, just put someone sick on a plane and eveyone will get it.

Maybe you should have worn a mask? That just looks dorky and I think I'd take my chances rather than wear that.

I went to urgent care and they had masks out, but they were construction dust m asks and not surgical ones, The holes in those will let virus particles straight through. Yikes, and I trusted these folks with my health!

BTW: Any momentum on the job search Jim?

'Morning (?) TAN. Another long shift, but I slept awesome and woke to no power. Seems the 35+mph winds have knocked out power to my part of town again. I wanted to cook, but this gives me an excuse to go out for breakfast...wow, nevermind, power just came back right as I was typing that.

Other than job seeking and an airline cold, everyone doing ok? Pitt, the back better? Yanti, feeling better in paradise?

Off to make coffee.

Morning Tan.

I am still recovering from my 100km charity bike ride Saturday that went extremely well then I thought it would be smart to run and ride again yesterday... Woke up and had a HOT date with my foam roller...

And now at work drinking a tasty coffee....

How was everyone's weekend and for some of you still on a nice long weekend today.

spanksalicious, spanksalot ...

I am very good but can relate ... just because I'm on a paradise island on holiday and felt fantastic I thought it'd be a good idea to put in a total 3 hrs OWS and walk 16km (in flipflops on sand trails) ...

Today, shooting myself looked like a plausible way to end the pain. I settled for some painkillers instead. But still, I was in bed by 8pm ...

Hey TAN. How's everyone doing. Walking around on site, up on a semi-constructed bridge, the morning after a HM is kinda shaky! I don't suggest doing it. Man are my quads sore.

How's it going today? I can't wait to move this weekend!

Coffee Good!!

I doubt you're an idiot. A bit off-kilter perhaps, but that's ok. As for being a nuthead, I can relate.

So Sunday was fun for the Canadian and I ... up at 6am, out the door by 630, rode to the train station, got the train to the race site (with a cab ride becaue it was 13 miles instead of 5) and then did a 10K at 11am followed by a duathlon. And then reversed it all back home. Good times.

I love long weekends. Just never long enough.

HM went pretty well. I finished in 1:52:13. Was hoping for 1:45, but my lack of training, and pacing, didn't allow for that. The conditions weren't too bad, a little humid, but it started to rain, so that was actually welcome at that point. I went out too fast, as usual, and the hills that started at around 16k drained me. But I have now officially done a HM distance race, and have a time to beat next time around. Maybe even get a PR in my HIM, who knows!

How was everyone's long weekend?
