Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Kido - 2013-05-02 12:33 PM A couple comments. The "clue" was exactly the same for Malcom and Andrea. But Malcom only had 60 seconds to memorize it. If he forgot any part of it? Might almost be useless. Andrea had it written down.
I almost had the same though. If you got it, play it if you had ANY doubt. For me, if everyone was talking blindside, I would have doubt. If everyone was walking the company/alliance line? STILL play it! I have to admit, she probably took getting voted off the best I have every seen. Disappointed, but not mad. Almost seemed amused. That moved her up in my book. It was strange to have two eliminations in one show. I thought Cochran was off the radar last week. Guess you just made a "blip". Things can change in a hurry out there. Another reason if you can just stay alive one more day, you never know what could happen. Eddie was on the bottom FOREVER. But I would not be surprised to see him in the final three now. Looks like another cry fest next week. Joy. If it ends up being a Dawn, Cheri, Brenda final? Most bland finish ever.
If Andrea did play it and she wasn't targeted then she would have looked more untrustworthy maybe. It's hard to tell. #teamcochran |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() I did catch a small confessional speech from Erik about "I finally have control of the game"... For some reason, people think if they are a swing vote, they have control of the game. Nope. You might have control of ONE vote - or can decide the outcome. But that's far from having control of the game. I think the "I'm in control of the game" get's tossed out WAY to carelessly and often. Edited by Kido 2013-05-02 12:53 PM |

Control in a sense that he can shift the balance of power from one side to the other. Had he went with the three Amigos the SRU alliance would be scrambling way more than they are now and Reynold would probably still be there with Malcom. I think they mean it in that sense not really that they are the puppet master like a Boston Rob type. With the editing it's hard to tell. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() They HAD to have two eliminations in close proximity at some point. 16 is the "magic number" of contestants to vote someone off every 3 days and end up with the exact right number in the end. If they start with MORE than 16 and they don't have people quit or med evac then at SOME POINT they have to get rid of the extras. I really and truly think that there is a big master plan kind of like those "choose your ending" books. If on day 31 we still have more than X players then instead of reward we have an immunity/reward challenge in order to eliminate an extra player. Etc. etc. etc. I even think that if someone quits early on there are ways in there that they can skip an immunity challenge. Or they have both tribes go to tribal. It's all a pre-determined matrix of challenges or paths because if they DID NOT do it that when then they would open themselves up to all sorts of lawsuits for the game not being "fair". So, they only had one med evac this season...they still had an extra player at this point. When Eric first handed the immunity idol to Andrea I did think to myself, "Eric, Eric, Eric...have you learned NOTHING?" But the way it all played out does make sense. Even if he got that idol at that point he would have made himself a target and likely could have had to play it that night anyway so he really wouldn't have gained much and would have lost a lot of good will. I am SURE there are more rules than the basics we hear. Everyone always says the rules are pretty much "you can't hit another player and you can't plot to share the money". But I bet there are more. I've heard people say that you cannot steal an idol from someone. In other words, if you find it in their bag you cannot take it. I think someone has to GIVE you an idol. I think it's a gray area if you ask someone to hold it for you...um...silly if you ask me. I would bet that if the idol isn't in your bag or on your person it's up for grabs. You see people bury it or hide it...IMHO if someone else finds it at that point...finders keepers. Let's see...what other things did I think of as I read everyone else's comments. Eddie giving up on the immunity challenge...yeah...I don't necessarily agree with him. HOWEVER...we cannot put ourselves into their shoes. We don't know how bad their legs or feet hurt. He may very well have realized this was not a challenge he could win so he cut his losses. I personally want to think that I would go until I collapsed, but who knows. What if this was the challenge before the last chance you could use an idol and you had an idol to use? And you didn't want to use it to help anyone else? Would you quit? Right now I think, of the people left, that Cochran has done the most "playing". Eric, while he thinks he is a swing vote, has only had to make decisions on who he is voting for...he hasn't tried to convince anyone else to vote a certain way. Brenda, same deal. Dawn...don't even get me started...waste of space this season. Eddie has been near the bottom but he's not trying very hard. And Sherri hasn't done much either. The unfortunate aspect is that the people making moves ARE seen as targets and if you can blindside them you should because if they stick around they will win. The remaining people need to blindside Cochran ASAP or he'll run away with it. If they get Cochran out though I foresee boredom for the rest of the season. They are soon going to run out of numbers to make any good moves. Now it's time to think about your final 3 and trying to orchestrate your final 3....Next vote is CRUCIAL...Six people left...two three person alliances are just destined for a tie. You basically need a final 4 at this point that you can then pick your three out of.... |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I was having to lip read a bit at BWW tonight...I got the gist of what happened but definitely need to go back and rewatch to find out what happened. Can't believe Dawn turned on Brenda???? |

![]() ![]() |
Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() That was brutal. I get the reason behind the move, but that was a dirty dog move to me. At that time, to take her out after what she did and leave Eddie in the game.... they lost votes. There are TWO parts to this game... first cut their throat... THEN ask them for a million bucks. That was a dirty move. ... but, ya, Eddie isn't a threat. He isn't a threat to the game, but if he makes it to the end, he has a case, and if they hate the other two, he wins. Eric seems to be a bigger threat... he has made nobody mad, hung with his peeps, and is most certainly a challenge threat. Sorry... Dawn may be playing the game, and she may slit a throat... but no way, no how, ever is she going to get the votes to win. There is literally nothing she can do. And Brenda REWARDED HER. Then she gave it to 4, instead of herself and Dawn... and then Dawn throws a complete tantrum... woo. I sort of seriously do not really like her very much. Sherri... I don't get it. Cochran... yes, if he makes it to the end, he has a chance. I do not see him winning immunity, and the others have to see that. They can't let him be final 3. |
![]() ![]() |
Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yeah, that was pretty dirty, especially of Dawn. If she does happen to make it to the end, no way she will get the money. Did it look like someone gets medically evacuated from the game next week?? |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() As I am watching online...a question (since it's hard to rewind online). Did Jeff give Brenda the option to pick one more in addition to her and Dawn? So...she could have given love to THREE total castaways? I dunno...that would have been a pretty darn good option too. I mean, 3 getting reward is almost as good as 4....and I doubt they would have hated her for it...it's a good compromise. Maybe I just heard Jeff wrong though.... |
![]() ![]() |
Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Okay, yeah...totally dirty play. Dawn just shot herself in the foot I think. Now...WTF with Eddie voting Eric???? And yeah, previews look crazy...but we only have to wait until Sunday! Of course, I hope I make it to my hotel in time Sunday night to watch!!!! |
![]() ![]() |
Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() No Jeff gave Brenda one choice and she picked Dawn. Then he told them their second family choice was there. Then he told her to pick between her and Dawn, or the other 4. I would have picked the other 4 too.

![]() Just watched Brenda's Ponderosa video. She seems to have a good attitude, so far. Looks like Phillip and Reynold at least, are getting angry with Dawn. Interesting, it must be extremely difficult to maintain the perspective that these people are not here to support your personal wishes - the end result is to win for yourself. Everyone is not playing the game to see Phillip or Reynold win the million dollars. Phillip was so level headed when he was originally voted out but now, living with the others where they can scrutinize every move made seems to bring out the injustice of it all. I wonder if they were all kept separated after being voted off what would happen. I don't want that for them, I just wonder. So who is left, Eric who was flipping out in the last episode, Dawn who has been flipping out for a while, Eddie and Sheri who have basically just been drug along because there is always someone else who is a bigger threat and Cochran. Fingers crossed for Cochran - it would make me happy to see him win. |
![]() ![]() |
Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() What an episode. It's almost a curse to win the that reward challenge because you can pick one or two others OR give it up and let others get reward for not winning and hopefully curry favor with the jury. In this case she picked Dawn who is batsh!t crazy insane anyway.
I wonder if she breaks down next episode and is the one that appears to be evacuated? She's been on the edge for to long.
Still love Cochran and finally others are realizing that he is a huge threat in the finals. He may be the most well spoken Survivor in the history of the game and is certainly the most improved player that has ever come back. Except maybe Eric considering his initial attempt and his game plan of laying low and not offending anyone. That really may work for him. Win a few challenges to be a legit player and be Mr. Congeniality.
Eddie in the finals can ruin it for someone. He will most likely get the other two amigos and maybe Mike. He also made it from day 1 as a marked man and scrambled with a little luck to the end. There is a good opening statement to the jury. He doesn't come off as an especially great orator so maybe we'll see about him.
Sherri is still in this but seems to be along for the ride and that is her only real play right now. It's to late to mount a charge that can get you booted so close to the end.
Good season overall.

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Sherri COULD have a case if she can get them to believe that she was playing hard on the fans side before the tribe swap. She also flipped EARLY and stayed loyal. But I don't think anyone is really seeing her as a threat. However, Cochran and Dawn trust her. Eddie...don't see him winning but good on him for hanging in there after being marked. Not really a challenge stud is he? Eric...I think is just clueless. Other than being loyal and not ruffling any feathers he hasn't done much. I don't see Eric taking many votes unless he orchestrates a Sherri/Eddie/Eric final three. Dawn...she may make it to the end but half the jury thinks she played dirty...by the rules of survivor she didn't play dirty but it's an invisible line that shifts depending on who is playing...and yeah, she's breaking down. Brenda nailed it...she's super paranoid and she's terrified of losing at this point. Doesn't take much. Cochran...it's his game to lose at this point. His biggest challenge will be that he probably won't win immunity. Let's face it...he's smart and he can probably do puzzles...but MOST of the challenges at this point become physical AND mental...you have to get to the puzzle first to win it. |

Most of the last challenges are stamina or dexterity and I don't see Cochran having either. Brenda had the best shot at the last challenges but now she's gone (smart move) so Dawn might have a chance to win to get to the end. I can't see Dawn, Eric, or Sherri getting many votes and I don't think Cochran or Eddie will be in the final 3 together so I'm thinking whoever makes it will win. The only chance I see for Eric is if it's him, Dawn, and Cherri at the end. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() Typing from my Ipad, so keeping it brief and probably lacking formatting. First of all, that was low down. I can't believe Dawn did that to her. After the retainer/teeth thing, then TRYING to reward her.. Wow. As for dawn, as much as I "liked" her in her original season, I dislike her now. So emotionally week. Yuck. Tired of her falling apart all the time. Gawds, I don't want her to win. I guess I'm settled on Cochran. I was leaning that way for a while. As soon as Brenda gave the reward away, I was saying that was a mistake. At this point of the game, that buys no favors/votes. You need to take the rewards and play your idols. It's sleazy that people will take the gift from her and say they love you then stab you in the back, but that's the game. But just wow, I can't think of a more low down move... |

Ya, Sherri has done nothing... except the first few days when she was on top of her alliance that is all gone. It was not in her best interest to go with the three amigos, but she was looked at as a swing vote and every time she did nothing. Now that we are coming down the stretch, and it was obvious a few moves ago the Favs alliance would have to turn on itself, she did nothing to position herself as a leader. And Dawn, all she has done is tattled on everyone else. She said she was not in control of her game last time... well guess what, tattling on everyone so someone else can make the decision is not being in charge.... and then of all things, to stab Branda in the back when she (I believe) gave her a win and was all nice to her about her teeth... wow. I get the need to get Brenda out, but how it went down was most certainly dirty. Cochran does not really have a save, and he is the most obvious to get gone. They have already been talking about it. Nobody there wants to sit by him at the end. He won't make. This game is between the other 4, and they are all coat tail riders. Even Eddie... he could win, but Reynold and Malcolm were actually playing the game, he was just staying in the game. |
