Anyone know about blood?

Fascinating stuff.  I just got a nose bleed and it didn't bleed much, but man, just a couple drops makes a huge mess.  It's more powerful than dyes or other colorings.

Took a while to clean my my face and water only seems to spread it around more.  I couldn't imagine trying to clean up a crime scene or something.

Its the hemoglobin that does it It really likes to latch on to things.

I cut myself with a switch blade once (fingers), and went to a public bathroom to clean the blood before heading to the ER. By the time I was done, the bathroom sink counter looked like a scene of a horror movie. I spend a few minutes actually cleaning up before leaving...

You mix water with blood and is amazing. Have you ever seen a diver with a nose bleed. Looks like he's hemorrhaging when in reality is not that much blood.

Home remedy: if you ever cut the inside of your mouth, a spoonful of sugar will dry the mouth and slow the bleeding. Works like a charm with kids and they love it.

Plus when you try to clean it with water the red cells lyse and release the ehmpglobin which then latches on to things and rusts basically.

hemp-globin? What are you actually doing in that lab of yours...isn't smoking prohibited?

Those cells are purely medicinal, I assure you.

Yeah, I was trying to clean up the sink as drops were falling into it.  I couldn't keep up.  Get it clean and ONE DROP would spalsh and make the mess again.  Paper towels just spread it around.

Pretty much had to rinse it away.  Towels were useless.

Since this is a semi regular occurrence here in the desert, when I'm at home I just let the mess go until I stop the bleeding then clean up.  No point to try while bleeding.

But do you go to a party just to "party" anymore?

I mean, an event, I get.  Or if it's just good friends.

But a friend of my wife wants her to go with her to a party in Beverly Hills.  Apparently, not to network or because it's a bunch of good friends throwing it.  It's just to party?

Who does that other than college kids and people in their 20's?

I still do, but certainly not as much as I used to.

On my list of fun things to do, a party full of strangers is pretty low.  Don't get me wrong, I hit up every party some of our friends throw.  They are ragers and I know most people there...

Probably due to my lack of confidence dealing with strangers?  I don't like it and not good at small talk.  So a room full of them is no fun to me.

That's a heck of a drive to get to Beverly Hill tonight! 

She is in LA during the week and her friend basically wants her as a wingman and designated driver.  The wife really isn't interested, or that's what she says.

I try to stay away from parties as I am usually the one "running around with a lampshade on his head", and they tell me I have to grow up one day.....I think its BS as I like to have fun!!

As for being worried about a G/F or spouse going to a party without us guys...Nah, no worries, it is good for the girls to go out and get hit on and hang with their friends...Builds confidence and lets them unwind better than they could with us dudes there...Plus, if you have to worry about them doing something they should not be doing, well, don't, more than likely it aint gonna happen.

i'm married, semi-old, and officially out of college as of last week, and i still "party."
