Expert 885 | Subject: RE: IM Louisville watching thread This is so awesome! I've been following Courtney's blog and wanted to see her cross. I've been watching for the last hour and just saw her. She looked great. Just thinking about what each of these athletes has accomplished gives me inspiration. Great job everyone. |

sorry Steven...the tracker doesn't want to give up your final time. You probably had the most even paced race out of everyone tonight. GRATS! |

Expert 957 | Subject: RE: IM Louisville watching thread His total time was 17:00:01. 7:15:43 marathon and 1553 place overall. He's not the only one over 17 hours that has an official time- this is what happens when you have a time trial start (this is not a criticism of Stephen- I just thought it was weird to see 17+ hour time reported-I'm a 16 hour finisher my own self). Great job Stephen and all the other BTers. Conditions must have been pretty rough out there. |

Extreme Veteran 477 | Subject: RE: IM Louisville watching thread So cool to read this the morning after my race! It is neat to know you all are following us race day! Just a short note on the race...I'm on a hotel computer. Swim start had to be changed to TT because of the current they had us go between the shore and a small island so mass start didn't work. I think they made a good decision for the sake of most athletes. It was HOT out there. No shade at all on the bike and not much on the run until later. My wife took a pic of a bank thermometer reading at 6:30 and it still read 93 degrees. My swim and bike were spot on what I expected...my run was about an hour slower than I wanted. I ran the first 5 miles...then walked one/ran one...then finally walked...I was spent. I figured if I walked a good pace I'd finish and if I tried to push it running I might collapse out there, so I walked it home. What an AWESOME feeling to be and Ironman and have my family there to share it with me. They were incredible. |

Champion 6962 Atlanta, Ga | Subject: RE: IM Louisville watching thread Daremo - 2007-08-26 6:13 PM 4th in AG frickin' rocks!! IIRC then he will win an AG award as they go 5 deep. You da man Aaron! Hope the roll down gods are in your favor! For what it's worth, I know Tim Fuller (2nd A/G) and he said he is NOT going to take his Kona slot. So that leaves only one more person (assuming the 1st guy took his). fingers crossed!!! |
