Extreme Veteran 301 Charlotte, North Carolina | Subject: RE: The Living Dead Team Thread comet the dog - 2007-10-22 12:02 PM i would like to boost my goal another 7 miles. i am afraid that once i reach my goal i will just kind of slack off and quit. i dont want that to happen. another seven miles is very doable for me but it definatly will push my ability. so a 27 mile goal
Go Comet!!!!!! Great job challenging yourself!!! GO TEAM LD!!!!

Or a used kleenex, whatever. I'm still sick and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I'll cheer y'all on, be jealous that you can run, and join in on the next round. GO LIVING DEAD!!! I am so sorry to hear that! I sure hope you start to feel better soon. Is it time for a doc visit? Sometimes those can help. Absolutely come by and cheer us on! Thanks for putting in the time and miles that you have. This weekend I was visiting my dad (a dr.) and he was very generous with the pharmaceutical samples, so I am set. More water, more vitamins and more kleenex. And more cheering! Typing and mouse clicking are about all I can do right now. |

Master 1381 Clifton, NJ | Subject: RE: The Living Dead Team Thread oh and by the way, add another 3.57 to my run total - got that much done today because i know it will pour rain tomorrow here, or its supposed to. i have roughly 11 miles to go. i'm tempted to up my goal, but i think i'll keep it where it is, fifty was a big number for me as it is. |

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: The Living Dead Team Thread GOAL MET/FINISHED! 2.10 miles left and completed them at a 6 min. 55 sec./mile pace. I felt like I needed to do a speed run today. Now, if I met my goal and we have 8 days left, what happens to the team? Do I need to up the goal to keep the team active, or was this just to have all team members finish their goals before the end of the month? |

NOICE - and congrats on finishing! good question - but i think 100% is 100% and if you meet it early, there's no penalty for the team. you can up your goal to include what you'll do over the next 8 days - but that's up to you... |

I think my quite dormant H.S. x-country/track base mileage needed to be woke up! I have a feeling that if I continue, I could hit a sub 6 min/mile by next summer. Howzit going for you, ell? It's too bad you had to put the challenge on hold. |

It's too bad you had to put the challenge on hold. I'm starting to get a lot better. That antibiotic stuff is good mojo. I'm still clearing out the pipes, so dump your Kleenex stock yet, but at least I'm out and about - a little teeny run yesterday, a short slowish ride tonight. Feels GREAT to be out there again. I'm not a very patient patient. There's no way that I can run enough to make my goal though. Even yesterday's little run kicked my butt and I went to bed early. So when you're done with those sub-7 minute miles, can I have them? |
