Still at work, 3 mettings down 2 to go, then we catch a flight from OKC to Vegas and into Spokane about midnight.  Can't wait to get out of here! I am going to try to be at the 8:00 swim on Friday if I am not too jet lagged.  Good luck to everyone! I know I've missed the last spreadsheet update but I am throwing it out there anyways...

Name: Mitchell

Bib: 915

Age: 26

Location: Edmond, OK

Goal: 13hr. 30 min.

Good luck to you all!!! I'll be at the finishing chute catching.  Hope to see you all cross with a smile on your face.

What shift? I am also catching on the 6-9 shift.

And good luck to everyone... it's been an inspiration following this thread for the last few months.

6-9 for me too so that's cool. My brother has a goal time of 14 hrs, so I'm hoping it will happen during that shift.  If not, I don't think anyone will have a problem with me hanging around for a bit.  See you there.  Any other BT finish line volunteers that you know of?

Two people (lifejustice and zed707) mentioned they were catching on the last shift, over on this thread I started a couple days ago:  What do you say to an Ironman?

A few of us braved a chilly morning (but definitely a warmer lake than yesterday) and some pretty solid chop to get some swim practice.  PhatKnot came down to say hi, and met up w/PGA Mike post-swim.  Hopefully that chop goes away by Sunday, it was more of a pain than the water (not too cold--I'll be wearing a sleeveless suit w/ speed sleeves).  Hope to see more tomorrow morning at 8 (at the pictured moose) and at the dinner!

Also--a tip to those in town already, first 500 to register get free TYR goggles!

I envy you guys a lot, as I'm still stuck at work Frown

I'll be leaving from SFO tomorrow at 8am and I'll probably get there around 11am, so I'm going to miss the 8am BT swim.  Anyone up for a swim on Fri afternoon and/or Sat morning?

This is the "vacation" message I posted on my whiteboard (pardon my 4-yrs old drawing abilities):

Well, here's hoping we're getting all the glitches out of our system before race day. I'm typing this from the side of the road with a broken down motorhome. Ugh.

Had a great swim with everyone Brittany mentioned this AM. Also finally got to meet NerdJock (Ashley - who rocks!) during registration. Most bummer thing today is that they've gotten rid of the Inspiration Station where you could make signs for yourself or your family etc to put on the course

The HB doesn't care though so I went to Ace Hardware and bought 8 wooden stakes and now I just need to get markers and poster board. If we can't have hundreds of signs at least we can have a few right? Now I just need someone to volunteer to go place them around the course.....

Any takers?

Also Cathy (Achen2Iron) and I are riding an easy 45-60 minutes at 2pm from the Library to Higgens Point and back if anyone wants to join us.

Hey everyone, I've was able to get the page finished that has all of the BT folks that are participating.  I based it on the last speadsheet that was on page 188 of this thread.  I'll add the run and bike splits as soon as I know them on race day.  If all goes well the results will be updated automatically.

Ugh. What a bad time for that to happen.  Thanks for the heads up.  I always fear that and avoid leaving my bike exposed if there is anyway at all I can help it.

Yippee CDA!  Registered this morning and got to meeting leopard (Bonnie) and SarahK.  Fabulous ladies.  Had a beer with spudone (Mark) and he's awesome, too.   I see some fun times ahead for all of us.  I'm tentatively planning on the swim tomorrow at 8 and definitely planning on some pre-athlete dinner refreshments starting around 3, 3:30 or so.  Any suggestions of where to go?  The more the merrier.

In not so good news, my little sister had knee surgery on Monday and now has an infection and is in the hospital through the weekend.  She's going to be okay, though, so that's fantastic!  Just means we're sticking to Spokane a little more closely than we may have otherwise and you won't see my crazy family at an aid station.  Next time.

Can't wait to see all of you, both those I have yet to meet and to see those I was lucky enough to meet today again!

Meeting at the moose by the flagpole tomorrow (Friday) at 8AM for a swim, right?  I'm all registered and got the bike from TBT.  Gonna take it on a little spin up in Hayden (where I'm staying) later this afternoon.

Hope everyone is getting psyched up!  I'm trying to temper my excitement so I don't have to hold it up for 3 more days.

Let me know where you plan to meet for pre-func. I won't be able to make the swim in the AM. Went today, though and it was waaaay warmer.

Got in this morning and am currently hanging ot at the playground, which my son loves. He's doing the Kids run in about an hour. I got checked in for the race, moved into the townhouse rental that Cantucan passed on to me, and got my bike put together - it seems to have survived the flight. I plan to be at Friday's swim, drive the course, and also get in some light bike/run tomorrow while also keeping my son entertained. This is a really nice town and I'm getting excited to race.

I signed up to have all of the text/email alerts to go out to Facebook, family and friends.  Will that still happen or does the BT page stop that?
