SSMinnow - 2012-10-01 2:22 PM I'm free!!!!  The Cliff's note version is I was seated for a criminal trial, cried and they let me go.  Ok, I didn't really cry but I did use a valid excuse and they did let me go! Four free years!

Disappointing.

Why? because I would have been such an awesome unbiased juror? Wink

Absolutely!  It's a character flaw, I know, especially not knowing your situation or excuse; but the prosecutor in me just bristles at the notion of "getting out of jury duty."  Given the nature of most of my cases, it's something I deal with on an all-too-frequent basis.  But I'm working on it ...

How do you get out of it for 4 years?  I get that letter every year it seems that I'm on-call.  This year it was a holiday week and all the cases ended quickly so not sure they had any jurors, or at least I didn't have to go.

A few co-workers and I were just sitting around talking about what our least favorite numbers are.

General concensus was 2 & 6 were the worst numbers. And any combination of them.

Ie.

2266 - not a good number at all.

HA. ROCK IT 2266

Havin' Fun's # is 981.

I wonder if that is also indicative of who'll finish when?   HA!  Go bike Fatty.  You've already got the swim nailed.

Maybe you should run to the bike, then swim.  Just to break things up.

I thinks 2s and 6s are lucky........I've been married for 26 years, and still getting feeling lucky!!

Funny how easy it is to get out of a good routine, I really had to force myself out of bed today to get my bike ride done. As usual within a few seconds on the bike I felt hapy to have got up and by the end felt great.

My IM plan starts next week, then 30 weeks to go to the big day!!

Here's my September totals, not much running due to the ankle but when I have run I felt like I could go on for ever so the cycling must be keeping me fit.

September's totals:
Bike:26h 22m 43s  - 732.83 KM
Run:3h 06m 07s  - 28.18 KM
Swim:8h 30m  - 19600 M

It's another Wednesday in paradise, who besides our girl Linda has decided to toe the line this weekend?  Some details would be nice!

If you're not racing, lets talk about day to day nutrition.  Anyone done anything differently to boost their health?  drop a few lbs? look good in their bikini?

I'm running a 15K trail race this weekend. It's 3x around a 5K loop on a course I haven't run before, so my plan is to get in a comfortable position in the pack on the first loop and try to work my way up from there by working the flat, fast sections and not burning myself up on the uphills.

Good luck, Linda, in your half marathon!

good luck racing fools!  i've got a half iron on sunday. looking forward to it as its a small race on what appears to be a nice course.

plan is IM pace on the swim.  I've got one ows in the past few months, but i don't think this is an issue.  i'm really going to focus on finding some feet just as i intend to on the second lap at florida.  not really sure its going to be all that possible on the first lap.  IM pace of the front half of the bike to remind me that its ok that everyone and their mother is passing me on the bike.  second half i'll bump it up to HIM watts.  run,  haven't decided what i'm going to do yet.  i've narrowed it down to two options, neither of which include coming out of t2 at a glacial pace.   we'll see. weather is looking great.. high 30's at the start. 50's by the run.

awesome pics david!  reminds me of sailing as a kid.

as far as dropping a few pounds, i bought my first pair of size 36 jeans in close to 20 years last saturday.  ha!  funny thing though is i weigh more now than I did heading into texas.  i wonder if the more zone 3-5 work in the EN plan rather 99% Z2 with Fink has something to do with that.  or maybe they are just making size 36 bigger now.

BIKINI PICS!!!!!
