Hey Mates!

I'll be curious to see how we did this week, it looks like everyone is really keeping up the workouts.

The weather is warming here some, kind of a bummer to me. I like to run in the cold. Non-the-less in a bit I will go for local hood run, maybe a chance of some drizzle but that's minor.

More later!

I just got in another yoga sessions, so I'm doing well on my goals. I don't know how the other teams are doing, but we're a force to be reckoned with for sure.

Got in my Sunday run. A real nice 7 mile tempo run. I felt great and I always love running around downtown in the hood.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

My beloved Saints had a great day yesterday, now I am hoping the Jets kick some booty.

Cheers!

Happy Sunday, Pips

Just got back from 24k Long run. Miserable, cold(-10C), blowing...nevertheless, got it done.

Hope everyone is well.

Way to go! I hope you treated yourself to some kind of warm beverage afterward!!

It is still mild here - well, mild for January, so my long run of 21k was lovely.  We were able to hit a trail that's usually pretty icy at this time of year.  It's a great route with very few stops.  I just need to get in the strength session that I bagged yesterday and i am right where I should be!

Great for you getting your run done in such crappy weather! What's the hot beverage of choice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, a hot toddy (maybe to early for that one...)?

Way to get that training done, Epiphanies. You all are putting me to shame! I've had a few bad days of no training... Thursday I took off (instead of my normal Friday) because I felt run down, tired from my run/bike the day before and was getting a cold. Which would have been ok, if my husband hadn't surprised me with a babysitter when I got home on Friday so we could go out for an early birthday celebration! And yesterday... well, we just won't go there... I'm feeling guilty because I'm sure we would have held onto first if I hadn't fallen offf the training wagon for 3 days. Sorry!!!

But I am ready to redeem myself! After spending all day cleaning the house , putting away xmas decorations and dragging the tree to the woods, I am off to the Y for an endurance spin class and a swim!

Got a 7 mile run in this morning.  It was supposed to be a pace run, but wasn't feeling ready for that just yet.  So, instead, I ran to a RPE of 3-4 with tried to hold an upper-end zone II run.  Everything felt good today.   No pain.  I think I'm on the road to recovery.  Plan is to keep the runs about 30" slower than normal paces for the rest of the week and re-evaluate.

Darn, if I would of got my run in a little sooner, we would of been at 43.9 percent.  Oh well, let the wind chill whatevers have a slight taste of victory.  For the remainder of this challenge will be ours!

Awesome job, team!  We're all doing so well!

I got my 1-hr lifting session in Friday after work, so I'm getting closer to being caught up on that front.  I was supposed to do my long run yesterday, but I run with a group on Saturdays and they only ran 6 miles.  So I made up for it today by doing my 11-miler this morning instead.  Now I'm *really* ahead on my run & yoga goals!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Couple of Pics from this morning's run, for anyone who wants to leave the warmer climate for a change!!!

We run to a nearby lighthouse, the 2nd pic is coming up the ramp, which is closed to vehicular traffic. Some of our usual group decided not to run this morning & take pics of the madness (very smart)

Go Team, we're doing really well. I know a lot of us had big workouts planned for late Saturday or Sunday, so that second place is soft. We'll take the win for sure. Its supposed to be warmer in my neck of the woods for a few more days, so I think I may even break out the short sleeves for tomorrow's run.

You are definitely a better man that I am.  Those pictures are crazy!  I did my run from the safety of the gym today, which earns me no hero points, but at least it will help the team.

Congrats to everyone on our standing - let's keep it up!

I'm boring so just a nice hot chocolate for me - maybe with some whipped cream if I am feeling really extravagent.  For whatever reason and much to the amazement of my friends, family and co-workers, I have never gotten into coffee.
