Master 1585 Folsom (Sacramento), CA | Subject: RE: Tebow! scoobysdad - 2012-01-14 8:21 PM [sarcasm] Clearly, this game shows it was Denver's suffocating D that deserves credit for the 9 - 4 run. [/sarcasm] And Tebow's 34.5 percent completion percentage shows that he deserves credit? The offense and the defense both played terrible today and unless the defense pitched a shut out it wouldn't have mattered. Likewise, Tebow could have thrown for 400 yards and they still would have lost today. New England at home in January is tough to beat even if you are a complete team. Like his career and total team worth was determined by one game. Lets face it, Denver was on a roll, they were not as ready for yesterday's game as NE. The team did not play well. Just like when they were winning, the team won. |

Well, that sure worked out for them! Brady is just too good and his team is well coached. When the marched down the field on the opening drive I knew it was going to be ugly. Still happy for Tebow and the Broncos. The exceeded what I thought they would accomplish this season. Now I guess I pull for the Ravens so they can take off Brady's head. |

Matt Ryan too. He couldn't even get a point on offense for his team. |

Tebow being named the starter next year does not mean that he will be a good NFL QB. That isnt to say that he will necessarily not be successful. What it means is that he is the most popular sports figure in America by almost a 50% margin, according to a recent ESPN poll. He is a cash cow right now and ANY team would didnt have a heads and tails better option would be remiss to not ride him til they get bucked. When it comes right down to it, the NFL is like any sport: the goal is to make money. Usually winning is the best way to do so, but having a face on the franchise also can be a game changer. I said after the Steeler game that Tebow would be back as the starter next year, for better or worse. We will see next year if he can evolve into a good NFL QB or if the league will catch up to this offense like they did with the wildcat formation. |

Of course he is going to start next year, they dont have anyone else as of now so it is his job by default. In addition, he earned the rigth to start next year. The question will be, doe he end the year as the starter, which i highly doubt that the will. |

I'm sorry Ray, go back to that post and the previous one and you will clearly see that i was talking about the 2012 season...No selective quoting please ......I always said he would finish the season, start next year and be in the bench halfway through the season....If that is not the case, then you can do what you just did . Elway was very careful in the way he answered questions about Tebow, the announcement wasnt even that he will start next season, just that the would be the starter going into the 2012 training camp. |

His Salary is low, so they could work it financially and I don't get the feeling Tebow is the kind of guy to only play where he can start. Plus the odds of Manning getting injured are up there.
