Great job everyone, and sorry I was gone yesterday, just had a lot to do. Got to stay on top of things, and keep our country safe.  Was out of office, and no computers on me.

So where are we, and what do we need to do????

Technically, we should all be at 48% in our training logs. So congratulations to all who are above that point, and also a well welcomed congrats to all who are almost there and making progress on their goals for the month.

Please inspire the following people to keep on swimming and getting above 48%??

     AlexB , barbercl , colesdad , Donto , gracetheterp , Grimmco , kpb421 , LeCrac , madkat , medic0020 , milaminute , mindji , ronislye, runnerg1rl7 , ShawnC13 , swgraham , tntexpress , jacsuza

Please really push and inspire as much as you can the following people who are below 30%, I think they really need our help. I know you can all get there, and we all have faith in you all to help us stay above the rest of the other teams.

     kns57 ,  stilltri-ing , wurkit_gurl

Again, out team average is below 46% and hope we can all get there. On the supper side, guy's, time to get your girlfriends / wifes / etc.. somthing if you forgot! Don't forget some flowers. Lady's,

 HAPPY VALENTINES TO YOU ALL!!

Since there was enough time after my bike ride this morning I snuck in an extra 1k this morning. That brings me to 56 %, I believe. woo hoo.  I'm not scheduled for any more swims until Sunday, but I'm sure I will have time on Saturday to sneak in some swimming, even if it's only another 1k.

If I could make one wish it would be to be able to swim faster.  :-)

To swim faster, all you have to do is incorporate some sprinting w/ low rest in between.  i.e. 10 X 100's with 10sec rest. Make sure they are as fast as possible.  Good luck, and keep up on the great swimming.

DON'T FORGET, ALL- I'm not a slacker- my pool is closed till Tuesday (at which time swimming will be over before I can get home from work) and I will not be able to swim till NEXT Wednesday. I am saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad about this, but will take the opportunity to go through and inspire everyone. and do some swim specific upper body strength work!!

The next closest pool to me is almost an hour away. Frown

You are still in good standings right now, just hit it hard when it opens. I know how you got to be feeling. Great swimming, and keep it going when pool opens. Happy training, and go Team Swimming Rock.

PS: If everyone promises to get their numbers up and above and stay there, I will trow myself under the ocean and go for 100K. Only if everyone get above mileage and stay there!!

I've got to be crazy. Hooyahhh!

That is exactly how I feel right now. But I have not seen any takers on the team and have not heard from "oceanie", guess I have no pressure on my end, so should be a regular smile right now, and keep total to 75,000 for this month.

The rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated. It's been a long week, but I'm back. 2400 today brings me to 50% plus I'm still behind by a swim for the week.  Hope to get my make-up swim in tomorrow. If not, I'll do 3 swims next week

Well, actually.... I really like turtles. So I guess UMD is ok, then. Yay for turtles!

Yes, yes, well aware *sigh*.  Doesn't matter, I still love 'em.

What's really ummmm... not that fun is that my boy toy played division I basketball... for some team with some kinda bird mascot or something... and we are both pretty big college hoops fans.  There are some tense moments around here this time of year and March Madness is like a national holiday in our house .

I will give it a shot! So, it's the same as running, huh ;-), to run faster you have to actually run faster. he he  That is one thing that I don't really have in my swim workouts is any speed stuff.

Thank you!

Well, just got one last swim in before a half mary this weekend.  I won't be back in the pool till Wednesday, but I'm at 18k, and I'm pretty sure that still keeps me on track.  This would not be possible w/o this challenge.  GO ROCKS!

Snuck in 700M before the pool closed last night so up to 53% for the month. Even though my goal is low compared to all you fish out there this is by far the most I've ever been in the pool in my life. Starting to feel good.

Probably no more pool sessions until Monday but plan on 3 - 4 next week which should put me right about at my goal!

Which is why I love these challenges so much.  I biked what was usually a three month total in January.  Now, I'm looking at the yards I've swimmied/swammied/swummied and it kinda shocks me a bit.  We all have it in us to do this stuff, it's just hard to push ourselves sometimes.  It's good to have others on your side, especially one's with pink whips

Great work, Bob.

Yup, you are great with your swimming this month, so no swimming till next Wednesday won't hurt you one bit. Good luck with the half mary this weekend. i'm volunteering at the Run the Reagan here in GA tomorrow. doing the registration and have to be there at the ungodly hour of 5:45am. It will be fun. It will be cold. We are all crazy! Don't you love it?

We all start somewhere with our goals. Last year I was excited to swim 500 yards in a session. Now if I don't hit 2000 I wonder what is wrong with me. These challenges are a great way to inspire us to do more than we think we can. Great job this month.

Okay team. I got a mile in this morning and plan to do another later today. It is amazing how your lungs are affected when you have been sick. I felt I was sucking wind just to get the slow mile in. But have no fear...I will reach my goal before the month is out.

Hey its me! Just arrive from the pool with another 2500M for 44%. The cold is still making me feeling miserable and is giving me trouble breathing. I'm still not worried for my totals as long as I can get rid of this cold ASAP! Stay wet!

Felt like punishing myself for some reason today.  I followed up my 2500yd masters workout from yesterday with a monster 3400 workout.  My arms are about to explode but it was a good workout.  I'm up to 67% already.
