Morning Team! Keeping up! Swam 1900m straight which is the furthest I have ever done. woo. :D

Had a great weekend. Kept up with my challenge goals and did a fun thing. We went skating. I haven't been in years. I know, I know, I am a Canadian girl.  But I can barely skate and have an ancient pair that my dad bought for me when I was about 12 or 13 (yes, they still fit).  We live by a great park with two outdoor icepads. It was fun to get out of the comfort zone!

How is everone else?

Morning Everyone!

Got in an easy 4 miler. It was so lovely out this morning, sunny and about 37F, perfect running weather!

Have a great start to the week everybody!

Congrats on the milestone! Sounds like the skating was fun, too. Let that good start of the week carry you through.

My orthotics helped again on this morning's short run. No pain during the run. AND....I ran fast (in perspective.) Usually I run about 12 min/miles, and today's run was just over 11 min/miles.

Skating, that sounds like fun!  My boys have been after me to get them up to the snow.  We might have to do that next weekend.

Jen and Laura nice progression.

I woke up with a little DOMS this morning.  Nothing significant, probably just from my decreased run volume over the last couple weeks.   The plan is to get to the pool today and move my long run to tomorrow.

Keep up the great work.

Couple of Pics from this morning's run, for anyone who wants to leave the warmer climate for a change!!!

We run to a nearby lighthouse, the 2nd pic is coming up the ramp, which is closed to vehicular traffic. Some of our usual group decided not to run this morning & take pics of the madness (very smart)

Nice pics!  That looks like my long run last week and two weeks ago!  Brrrrr!

Good morning team!  I had a little IT band discomfort during my long run yesterday, so I spent last night stretching and foam rolling out my legs.  Yikes, they're definitely much tighter than usual!

Tonight, I'm planning on lifting again... Chipping away at my January goals!

Morning team,

Still progressing well with my goals. Went to the gym to get in my strength workout this morning and saw this one guy who has a hilarious (and puzzling) approach to running. He cranks up the speed and then starts running but it's too fast for him so he holds the handrails the whole time.  Then every few minutes he holds the side rails and lifts his body weights and lightly toes the belt. It's very weird. but I saw today that he had the belt speed at 8.5 mph.  Sigh, he might be able to let go if he slowed it down just a bit.
Anyway, weights were good. Love the core routines on this site.  And will run a hilly 10k with my running partner tonight.  My next race has some challenging hills so we gotta get ready for that!

How is everyone this fine Tuesday?

Crap...  I need to do a long run today and the weather is not cooperating.  It's raining pretty good right now and the forecast is for thunderstorms all day.  I'm not looking forward to this at all.

I had to skip my yoga workout this morning in favor of coming into work early to finish up a presentation I had this morning...  Oh well, I'll be sure to get a session in on Thursday or Friday.  I have run intervals then some foam rolling planned for tonight after work.

Have a good day everyone!

I had a date with my trainer this morning, and all went well. This is a recovery week for me, my plan is build three, recover one. I'm already going a little nuts. I like the build part!

Afte a rest yesterday, back at it today. 20 mins bike & 20 mins dreadmill. To the pool tonite, to start next cycle of swimming instruction.

I went out for the run anyways.  90 minutes of struggling through heavy showers.  Called it quits at a little over 11 miles after I had been sloshing in my shoes for a few miles.  It was pretty much miserable!  When I got home, I couldn't bring myself to take an ice bath.  Opted for a hot shower instead.

Way to tough it out. I like running in a light rain, but heavy showers gets old real fast.

I agree, I think you did enough HTFU! I like the rain but when it's pouring it's hard to do those longer runs. Good job.

Speaking of rain.... we have it coming here too all day, thunder storms and such. So far it's not raining, so I'll get out soon and try and get in 7 miles or so before it hits.
