I'm running scans on machines to make sure the vulnerabilities were removed from them so they don't get kicked off the network.

Basically I start a program then watch paint dry until it's done, then I send the report to the people that need to fix the machines.

Well, I think we've been busier this afternoon than we were all day yesterday.  I've got to check out.  Need to figure out something to wear to this darn shower.  My closet is suits for work and jeans/sweats for weekends.  Neither seems appropriate.  Plus, if I'm going to the city tonight I should at least make some attempt with the make-up and hair.

Happy Saturday.  Will check back in tomorrow to see where this went.

ironannekidd - 2010-02-20 12:53 PM Good afternoon all!

Sounds like some of you are having a great day!!!

I got a short swim in today, 750 meters. My cool down was going over to the warm water pool to swim with the kids a bit before I went and lifted weights.

In a perfect world I would have gotten out to run when I got home, it's 40 here today, which isn't bad for us right now. Instead I checked my email on the way home from the Y and I am at work now

Hopefully I won't be here long and I can still get a run in when I get home. If not I'll jump on the trainer and run tomorrow morning.

Kim - I've seen a few shows on Broadway. I have always wanted to take my kids to see The Lion King, it just has never worked out.

Are we all meeting at Robin's first then heading to Neal's? It doesn't matter to me, I'll bring pizza and wine.

Ann, definitely take your kids to see The Lion King.  They will love it and remember it forever.

I vote for starting with the mud wrestling at Robin's.  Then off to Neal's clean apartment for wine and pizza.
What happened to the pole dancing?

I hope someone's keeping a checklist. We've got enough ideas floating around to party for a solid week!

Wouldn't that be AWESOME??!!??!! We'd all need a recovery week afterward!

With the amount of wine it sounds like you Ghouls will be bringing it might be a recovery MONTH. Not that that would be a bad thing. Besides, we could get at least ONE group ride/run done so we can feel productive, so it'll all balance out.

We'll have to start out with the group ride/run because i think our bodies will all be going downhill after that.

Can I bring vodka instead of wine?

As long as I can bring the rest of the ingredients for Bloody Mary's! We should probably have tequila on hand for Margaritas as well. And Kahlua for White Russians. And rum for Mai Tais. This is gonna hurt...

And good call on getting any "training" out of the way early. That's probably smart...

Is it a bad thing that I already have at least 1 bottle of all of those at home?

No, it just means you're prepared. When Armageddon happens, at least you'll get to enjoy it with a nicely pickled liver

kcarroll - 2010-02-20 12:33 PM Speaking of the city, I'm not a huge Broadway fan but I do go to the occasional show.  Usually when I have out of town visitors.  No telling how many times I've seen Lion King.

But 2 new shows are opening that caught my attention.  The first is An American Idiot with all the music from Greenday. The second is The Munsters: The Musical with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth.  I loved that show as a kid.  And Nathan Lane is hysterical.  I just might have to get tickets to both.

Kim - Nathan Lane is funny and I have always been a fan of Bebe Neuwirth, she has a fabulous voice.

I love going out and finding new quotes!

I have pages and pages of them saved here at work and at home.

All of the inspires I have sent this month I have chosen that morning. They were all something that spoke to me at the time. I couldn't map out ahead of time what I wanted to say because it just didn't feel right to me.

A lot of what I sent I didn't already have saved either. I would go on a search in the morning to find something for that day.

You think I'm weird now, huh?

And there's nothing wrong with that. At least that's what I tell myself because I'm in the same boat. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I make it my life's mission to embarass my kids whenever I can.

Well I don't want to be like everyone else, and fortunately I don't even I have to try to be different. I just am. Take it or leave it, what you see is what you get.

As my kids get older it is getting easier and easier for me to embarass them.

My husband doesn't drink AT ALL.

I probably have 5 bottles of rum, but 4 of them were gifts. I have 2 bottles of the American Honey that I like, both were gifts. The bottle of tequila I have was a gift. All of one of these came from people at my last job. I had a high stress job there and everyone liked me so they part in trying to keep me sane was to keep me drunk.

Hey all. Mud wrestling is going well but my 8 miles kicked my butt. So, I am taking a nap and we will commence mud wrestling tomorrow. Then all over to Neal's for pole dancing and pizza. (DO NOT hurt that hip Neal, we need to see your pole-dance action).

Ann, sorry you are at work. I'll take a nap for you, too. Kim, enjoy the city. I love going to NYC but only get there once in a blue moon. Amy, I'd go to the LBS and have it put together and fitted. Over the long haul you will buy stuff from them so don't feel guilty.

I bought a fuel belt last evening to help with the runs. It is too big so I couldn't use it today. I'll have to return it. I absolutely have to figure out something for my next long run. It just ruins the rest of my day by not being able to refuel.

NOPE. we keep a pretty good stock. We don't drink a lot of liquor so it stays that way. Except rum drinks in the summer.

I've tried that "sanity by drinking" thing myself.

deehtz - 2010-02-19 7:48 PM Hi everyone!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I had the afternoon off.  It is blue skies and 60*F.  So I went for 1 1/2 hour bike ride... some hills in the countryside and then flats in the residential area.  Beautiful afternoon!

Now to shower and then go out to eat!  Have a good evening!

Nice.  Oooohh to have 60*F....typed ever so wistfully.

Yeah, whole weekend is supposed to be this way!  Rain again on Monday or Tuesday though.  So come out for the weekend..

iowagander - 2010-02-20 1:26 PM BTW - Ann, why the hell are you at work on a Saturday? I hope it's nothing too serious.

I'm running scans on machines to make sure the vulnerabilities were removed from them so they don't get kicked off the network.

Basically I start a program then watch paint dry until it's done, then I send the report to the people that need to fix the machines.

Super suck. Sorry this is how youre spending your Saturday.

BTW though, I like the new sig line. You either have the biggest insprational quote book in the world or you should write one.

I think it's great...you are great to share the quotes with us!
