I'm guessing everyone knew allready, and he just wanted to make a speach for the cameras. I found Denise's opening statement really crass and arrogant - beyond just showing confidence. Really unexpected. She was pretty much gloating. So I got the impression that's what Penner was talking about when he said she just showed everyone she's a . Bring back RC.
This reminds me of my favorite part of Lisa's speech after Denise talked. She said, basically, "Well, we all outwit, outplayed and outlasted the jury so that much is a given." Indeed. Maybe it is just me, but I think "luck" is overlooked as a part of the game. There are good players that never get as far as their abilities can take them due to the circumstances of the game. Some seasons the cast has a lot of quality players and in others it is very weak. Sometimes they get stuck on a weak tribe and never have a chance. Get caught in the crosshairs of someone like Abi and you are gone a lot sooner. Likewise, there are players who aren't as strong who go very far because of the way the game is played around them. Had Lisa been on a weaker tribe, she could have easily gone the first tribal or two. I guess I see Survivor a lot like poker. It is a lot easier to get far when you are dealt pocket aces instead of 2-7 offsuit. Sometimes the cards are in your favor and for others they can't catch a break. The players who make the final 3 have certainly outlasted the rest. Some I think get there by also outwitting and outplaying, others are just lucky to be there. |

It could be a physical comedy... OR, just all the evil/mean/crazy people? See if we can get a little Lord of the Flies action going? So Russle, Abi, The FBI guy, etc. Granted, for selfish reasons, all the super hottie girls only Survivor? Now THAT'S an idea I can get behind! Perhaps this could air exclusively on Spike TV? Could it also mark the return to Survivor of one Elizabeth Hasselbeck???

I'm not faulting her, but I agree with you. She says she is competitive, and I'm sure she wanted to come out strong and dispel any feelings of coat tail rider.... but ya when she closed with basically, "I won you, lost naner naner"... ya, I thought that might hit some a little hard. She still won, but that was a little risky.
I agree. To me it was a gamble of coming off like an arrogant rubbing their nose in it comment but it obviously worked for her. However I thought she made her point and moved on unlike Lisa who had to assure the jury she played and didn't float through she was "wide open" as she kept saying. But that had nothing on Denise saying "absolutely" over and over again. |

I completely agree. It is a matter of getting paired with the right inital tribe because that seems to be the alliance that takes a winner to the end. Hopefully the first day you secure an alliance with the right person and it works in your favor the entire time. Look at Boston Rob when he won. He ran the game because he was paired up with an entire tribe of followers who were star struck. He made it work and won. |

Honestly, every season pretty much I think the girls look much better all scraggly on the show than all made up at the reunion Also thought ironically that Skupin looked a lot younger with his grey beard than at the reunion. |

I think it's a mixed bag mostly but when I saw Katie at the reunion I didn't find her attractive at all where on the show I did. |
