I'll play- (although it's already wednesday so it's semi-cheating)

Mon-30 min swim
Tue- 95 min run
wed- 60-90 bike
thur-off
fri- 2:30 bike, 30 min run
sat-45min swim? Have to pack for my trip so it's questionable
sun- Celebrate my b-day and fly to PR for the beginning of my cruise, which will also be a recovery week

Have a good week everyone!

I'm feeling better, tapering well. Last week I started to resume yoga and I think it's making a difference. It is certainly making me more aware of my muscle fatigue. Last week some of the poses were real challenges because of tired muscle do to large workout volume. I could tell from this morning's practice my musles are recovering and appears the taper is working!

I need to get back to doing yoga or pilates or both. I bought the Flexible Warrior dvd and now just need to use it. I feel 100x better when I compliment that with the SBR.

Even though I didn't post my schedule (I figured I would have to win if I didn't have any expectations to live up to) but I have actually gotten some things done this week and will be doing an Xterra race Saturday.

I keep thinking about the yoga thing.  I may keep thinking about it if you all (ya'll) keeping singing its praises.

Right now I'm just doing some easy vinaysa power yoga. A little focus on the back and abs, but not enough to make one sore. Flexibility is getting better all ready, can't believe how short my muscles have become from training. I'm looking forward to keeping it up and adding some more advanced poses, but that will take some time. Namaste

i totally sucked last week, and didn't come close to my goals. i've lost a lot of mojo lately, but i'm glad that i'm not totally stopped and still work out occasionally.  my run on saturday was only 3 hrs long instead of 5.5.

veganman - good luck this weekend!!

5.5 hour RUN? That would be brutal

You still seem to be getting good training in.

Hey gang,

sorry I have been MIA this week. This is "insane" week for me. Monday and Tues I worked 25 out of about 31 hours and then last night drove to Detroit to catch Jimmy Buffett (incredible as usual)

Got a little sleep last night and then back to work. Tonight we had a friends b-day dinner party and tomorrow is the rehearsal for the Wedding that I am the best man in on Saturday. SUnday brings, a post wedding brunch and Fathers Day. I think for fathers day I want 4 hours to just get my fat arse out on my bike Wink

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Sorry guys I've totally fallen off the wagon, my son has had some medical issues, the kids are out of school, my wife is off work for the summer, just got back from vacation in Charleston S.C., and I'm heading to Chicago this weekend to take our daughter to an American Girl tea party. Don't you love run on sentences. Actually training is hard for me when everybody is off for the summer. So when I get back in town next week I promise to get back on the wagon. I have been swiming in our pool but, its only 24' long so I need to get a tether cord to swim in place. I'm also working on buying a tandem for my son and me to ride. I hope everyone is doing well.

Hey gang, I am with Tim. THis week has been a ton of fun but  I have been a complete slacker. I believe I have drank more beer this week than any month combined in my life. I promise to find that da#n wagon next week and jump back on it.

Off to one last gathering for the week.  I think this makes 9 parties, weddings, concerts, b-day parties, cookouts, post wedding brunches this week. uuuuugggggghhhhhh!

Glad to see you appear Tim!  Sounds like you are having fun.

Michael:  I wish I had your problems.  Party all month and get upset over sub 8 miles.

If anyone hears about Ryan (Veganman) post it for the rest of us. Apparently he had a fall at the KS 70.3 on the bike but I have not been able to find out more.  I tried tracking him yesterday (Sunday) and it never gave his bike time and then I saw some inspires that alluded to a crash.

Shermbelle - 2008-06-17 5:39 AM I was also hoping to hear on Ryan, anyone know anything yet?

This from lisac957 race report: "...Then RIGHT in front of me I saw a guy being wheeled across the road in a stretcher. We had to slow down a little to give them some room. I looked at his outfit to make sure it wasn't Tom... it wasn't. Little did I know that it was our own BTer Veganman. "

Doesn't sound good.  I hope Ryan is ok.

Yikes, poor Veganman!!!  I hope he is all right.  Sorry I've been MIA, but I'm at home with my parents to see my gpa, who is sick, but I am going back to CT today, and hopefully getting back on the wagon.

We're thinking of you, Ryan!
