Artemis - 2008-03-14 12:21 PM How's everyone doing tonight? I got my hair cut shorter and went to dinner with my husband.

Jen! Hi!!!

Do you like the haircut? (on and PICS!)

I do.  I have to get the batteries charged for the camera and then I can take a picture.

Yay for cute hair! I don't want to take a picture of mine cuz it's squashed from my helmet this afternoon. OMG. I can't believe I'm heading to Beaufort for tomorrow for my first triathlon of the season on Saturday. I have to prepare my bike tonight and lay out all my stuff. Holy crap. Where is my number belt?

Good Luck, Pam!!! How exciting!

OK, despite my frequent absences of late (I have really, really valid excuses, though, I promise), I felt the need to make my 2000th post in Nibbinsville .

I *heart* you people.

That is all.

I HEART you too, Mila!

LOL... thanks for the congrats... I'm not sure how substantive those 2000 posts were .

G'night Jen.

Here in Nibbs we do not judge!

I believe in Nibbs, "LMAO" counts as substance, no?

zipp1 - 2008-03-13 6:15 PM The otho asked me if she was okay, I told him that it must be puberty.  He laughed (that man has  boys, he has NO CLUE what this girl puts me through, she's acted hormonal since birth!)

I can soooo relate to this comment. My daughter is only 11, too. Oy Vay.

Ha! I took a little page space! Happy Friday, Kristen and all other Nibbs! I am getting ready to do a short lil run, then I must get crackin' on the packin' to head down to the coast. Race day tomorrow! I have some serious butterflies in my tummy right now. It's been a while since I've done this. Got to get my pre-race mojo and rituals going again. Jen and Judi, good luck on the raceing this weekend. Kristen, are you doing this one, too? If so, good luck! Hopefully Beth will survive the vb tourny and Dee will escape from werk. Cat, enjoy your weekend. Mila, thanks for blessing us with your 2000th post. Amy, sorry you have a drama queen at 11. My 6 soon to be 7 year old is also a member of that club. Heather, enjoy that new bike! Gosh, is there anyone else? OK. I'm off to print out the map to the motel and race site, run, and pack. I'll try to check in tomorrow night sometime after I get home.

HAPPY FRIDAY NIBBS!!!!!!!!

Jen - great haircut.

Pam - you'll do awesome in your race.

Cat - so glad you are feeling better

Judi - April 4th will be here  before you know it.

Scott - put in the application.  As you said, you can always pull it back.  Any chance of getting a commitment from x2 regarding Colorado?

Mila - yeah 2000 post.  It is a day for milestones

Teenage daughters do grow up.  It just takes a little while.  When our daughter turned 20, we actually started having a really awesome relationship.  Up till then I was always afraid that once she left home we would never see her again.  Teenage sons take a lot longer to grow up.  Ours is now 23 and we are still waiting for him to grow up.  They say it takes till they are 25 for the brain to fully mature.  And we call people adults at 18.  LOL

I know the feeling! I just finished my run and everything was functioning. No left kneww/calf issues. First run in the new shoes. Yay!!!! Just had to say that. A pain-free run is worth a stop in Nibbs. OK. I'm really outta here until tomorrow. Good luck Jen and Kristen! I'll be thinkin' about you tomorrow sending good race vibes your way.

Okay.  I'm sitting here.  Listening to Billy Joel.  Enjoying the fact that someone else is going to be cleaning my house from now on.   I guess that also means that I can't use cleaning the house as and excuse for not training.  LOL

They say that these are not the best of times
But they're the only times I've ever known
And I believe there is a time for meditation
In cathedrals of our own
Now I have seen that sad surrender in my lover's eyes
And I can only stand apart and sympathize
For we are always what our situations hand us
It's either sadness or euphoria

And so we argue and we compromise
And realize that nothing's ever changed
For all our mutual experience
Our seperate conclusions are the same
Now we are forced to recognize our inhumanity
Our reason co-exists with our insanity
And though we choose between reality and madness
It's either sadness or euphoria

The night before a race is always so exciting.  It is sometimes hard to contain yourself, isn't it?

Jen and Kristen have a great 1/2 mary tomorrow.

And Pam is off for her first Tri of the season.  Way to go girl.
