Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVIII Morning, Nibbs! Mom finally left this morning, so I'm home with the Monkeys today (except probably not at home, because it's the day for the housecleaners...and I hate being home while they clean). In & out today, have a good one! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVIII Drive by posting.... Werk is still stupidly busy. I've come to the conclusion that: a) I will never catch up. b) Trying to catch up will only give me anxiety, an ulcer, and cause me to gain 1000 pounds (since I eat mindlessly when stressed). (And yes, I've gained 10 lbs since December!) Therefore, I have decided to: a) Occasionally LEAVE work, even though I still have a lot to do. (They don't pay me enough to keep me chained to my office 24/7, anyway.) b) Occasionally WORK OUT when I manage to escape. c) Occasionally post on NIBBS when I manage to escape (or when I am stuck at work but am in my office). OK, back to work again. But I enjoyed this quick little break. Nibbs = Sanity? LOL |

We're all completely sane, we just live insane lives to fool the rest of the world Thank God for the tom-tom. I got in and out of Richmond without getting lost. Went down Monument Avenue then over to Carytown because my daughter needed some stuff from the costume shop for her role in Annie. (sheeh, $46.00 later for a wig, stage make up and false eyelashes-- that's money I could use for race stuff) |

Is there some sort of Satanic force in the grocery store that possesses kids? |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVIII Afternoon Nibbs! Sorry, Pam - I actually had a fairly nice day at home with the Monkeys (but it has only been one day...I worked yesterday )...we ate a leisurely breakfast, went to the Y so I could workout, then went shopping (little girl soccer cleats are sooo cute). After shopping, we grabbed (evil) fast food and had a picnic at a park and played on the playground and ran laps around the nature trail. (Younger Monkey had a run/walk thing going on, it was so cute.) Then we came home and the #@%#$# cleaning service was still here ... so we watched TV (old cartoons that I even remembered - gotta love Snagglepuss) while they finished. Good stuff! Tomorrow, Sugar Daddy is staying home too - I have to teach one class, but otherwise, we're going to have a family play day. Glad you had fun in the Fan, Judi. I hate going down to Carytown because I can't parallel park. (sshhhhh....don't tell anyone) |

(sshhhhh....don't tell anyone) LOL. I got really good at parallel parking my first semester at VCU because I didn't have a parking pass and I had to park on the street. I always drive when we go to the Fan and Carytown because my hubby can't parallel park nearly as well as I can. |

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVIII HI YA NIBBS.... Maybe the whole kid behavior is linked to some control by outer space aliens... my 5yr old does always seem to talk about his "spider friends" that live far far away from here (yep not just one imaginary friend but several that live on another planet, he even has a "spider daddy" and "spider mommy"... scary) I am forutunate enough that only once or twice I had to bring them to the grocery together... now I try to shop before any one wakes up (it's nice b/c at 6:30 on Sunday mornings store is nice and quiet and there are no lines). Spent my whole morning (10 to 1) in meetings and running errands for work $$$ mileage expenses |

I hate going down to Carytown because I can't parallel park. (sshhhhh....don't tell anyone) You think I can parallel park?? Ha, at my dad's funeral the pastor spoke of his teaching my mother how to drive. I remember her having to parallel park all the way through the city of Albany on our way home from church. (5 kids in a station wagon and him cursing her out the entire way home--not pretty) You guys should have caught the get up on one guy at the costume shop. I don't think he was in costume, it struck me as something he usually wore from the demeanor of the person! |

What are my customers going to do??? What am I going to do. No Nibbs to drop in on from time to time. Arrrrgh! HUH???? That's absurb!!! What about online information for kids school projects??? I don't recall being allowed to use school computers after school time. Not that I've looked, but I haven't noticed encyclopedia's in our libraries since the invention of internet. I could see them websensing a lot of stuff, but what about legitimate research use, you're a LIBRARY!!! Let me guess it was decided by a council of people that all have enough money for each person in there house to have their own laptop and wireless 24/7 access. Let's hope the community is able to speak up!!! I feel for you, b/c you are going to be caught between the public and the gov't. |
