Yeah, you lost me pretty early on that one. Plus, I had to actually do some work for a minute But I am back now, as long as you refrain from talking about cars. Food, however, I will talk about

Mmm, food.

My secretary is making buffalo chicken dip for my cookout. WOOOOT!

Mmmm! I am basically eating take-out or premade stuff from Whole Foods for the next week or so because mostly everything in my kitchen is packed away, until my parents come down and bring me my new pots and pans set!

bcart1991 - 2008-07-17 10:04 AM It's all your fault.

That would not be uncommon, or at least people saying that would not be uncommon.

Weird. Sounds like you got a lemon for sure.

Yeah. I'd be an idiot to ever buy one again, though.

OTOH my Civic just runs. It has only broken down once due to unexpected mechanical failure - a thermostat at like 60k. It also had a radiator problem but that was a highway rock puncture. Other than routine stuff this thing just keeps going with little issues other than the expected worn out parts over time. It's at like 117k now so I figure if I want I have another 5 years with it. I don't drive it much more than the 20 mile round trip to work.

crowny2 - 2008-07-17 11:08 AM Anyone watch Top Gear?!  That show is hilarious.
Of course. Excellent television. Word on the street is that they're casting the US version currently.

I've heard the same thing.  I don't see how it will be as good.

SHOES!!!!  I lof them.  Wear them ever day.  Currently sporting silver flip flops which have metallic silver little pieces across the top of the strap thingers.  Target.  Lof them.  =)

I heart shoes. My sister has like 80 pairs or something ridiculous like that. I do not have quite as many.

Oops I was working. My bad!
Shoes: I got a pair of Jessica Simpson brand black pumps on sale last week... wearing them today. Not bad! A little uncomfy, but all 3-inch heels are.

I dunno - you might have to go count and then report back. Similarly, I will take inventory.

I used to wear heels ALL the time, except in the summer. Now I wear some heels, some flats, some kitten-heels, etc. With all the running, I try not to stress out my knees too much. But I love heels cuz I'm a shortie.

Rynamite - 2008-07-17 11:05 AM I had a Legacy Wagon as a "Snowboarding car". That thing ROCKED! It ran to like 200k miles til my brother trashed it.

Yeah, bought ours based on Consumer Reports ratings... took us two years to recover financially from buying that damn thing. What a piece of &@#$@#! that thing was.

I find this interesting because I have a friend with a sub-y and he and his wife just keep piling money into it, because it's a sub-y so it's reliable. Uh-huh.  All this car talk makes me sad right now though.

One would think they would see that you do not have to keep pouring money into a reliable car. If you're pouring in money it ain't reliable.

Sorry for abandoning you.  I had to bike to the hospital's clinic, pick up my allergy serum, bike to the student health center, drop off my allergy serum, then bike back to the office.  It took a bit, however I did get in some good commuting miles.

Unless we are including athletic type shoes I am sure you own more than I do: black shoes, brown sandals, camel-colored shoes, silver shoes, and some Steve Madden boots that come across as a bit scandalous.

Every girl needs a pair of those. I got a GREAT pair in December - a guy friend of mine actually bowed down to them at a party.

How short?  Dudette, you're starting to scare me a little bit as you remind me eerily of myself, excepting the shoes.
