Trade you weather.  I run better when it's above 72...

max - 2009-10-11 7:27 AM My cranky knee is acting up again.  I am sorry to say that I'm afraid I will have to abandon this challenge.  I can't risk any more injury to it.  If it's possible, can I please be taken off the team list so that I don't hurt the team percentages?  Thanks!

Bummer Max, and we were enjoying having you around.  You can always stick around to help with the post count...

Rest up that knee!

You could have been really fast in the low 20s temps with windchill in the single digits I ran in yesterday! :-)

I found out later the 10K I was thinking about doing had been canceled due to the bad conditions.

Hi Max,

I've removed you from the spreadsheet. BUT I think you should stick around as team cheerleader.

Your next goal is to be able to jump in the air and do splits like this:

Sorry your race didn't go the way you had planned. It always sucks when the weather can ruin several months of training. Nice job on getting it done though.

Hi team!  Sorry, I've been letting ya down this week with my low running volume.  I caught some crud and am basically worn down to nuthin right now, so I took a few unscheduled rest days to try and get healthy for the last few weeks before taper.  I'll kick it into gear again next week...

A little over 10 miles today in the freezing weather. At least it wasn't windy today. Hopefully it will be warmer tomorrow. This is like mid winter weather, not mid October.

CHALLENGE UPDATE!

It's Sunday evening, and here's your challenge update!

The CURRENT CHALLENGE STANDINGS are:
1st place - Show Us Your Ghoulies - 37.2%
2nd place - Crypt Keepers - 34.9%
3rd place - E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - 30.6%
4th place - Running Pumpkins - 29.7%

And in the SECONDARY CHALLENGE: (Because you KNOW there's always a secondary POST PADDING challenge!)....
Well, what can I say?
It's STILL Show us your Ghoulies by a landslide.
(Is anyone truly surprised?)

BUT it's only October 11th, so RUN RUN RUN (or I'll taser you).

From Challenge Central, this has been your weekly Team Standings update.

- Dee

34.9% is right where we all should be at this point in the month. Good job if you're there. If we can keep it up we'll all hit 100% and wind the challenge.

There are 2 people listed on our team spreadhseet with nothing logged. Does this count against us?

Im hopeful - if the weather stays as is it should be fun. I do see alot of rain forecast here later in the week, which means dreadmill workouts for me....YUK.    God willing and the creek don't rise I'll make my goal!

No, it doesn't count against you. You'll notice there are no numbers there at all, so they aren't used in calculating the "Team average."

The blank lines were people who signed up for the challenge, but never entered a goal or who had to withdraw due to illness/injury.

Your team average is only calculated using the numbers appearing in the "Run Percent Completed" column.

And yes, 35% is exactly on target to meet your goals.

Heh, go ahead and inspire them. They're both in my mentor group and have done lots of challenges.

But no, the blank lines don't affect the team average. I was going to drop them (and the people like this on the other teams), but I decided to just leave it for a few more days. If they don't check in by the next update (next Sunday), they'll be removed.
