I'm making the wifey and I omelets tonight with sauteed tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and baby spinich....and sauteed in garlic infused olive oil. And a side cucumber and watermelon salad. I may eat some hot pickled cucumbers and onions too....but I have a 3 miler (which you can read about tomorrow....maybe) so I may lay off the spicey food. byoung73 - 2012-09-10 1:50 PM I want to add something, but just don't have anything interesting to say. I don't either. Just killing time. So ... what is everyone doing this Thursday? Big plans? I've got nothing. 3 miles with spicy food? I see that more as a challenge! That's the spirit! Did you pickle the cucumbers yourself? |

(BTW....loved your post today....mainly the picture but the message was on point....but the pic was great. Did I mention the pic?) I've tempted fate a few times and have won in pretty much every instance. I've eaten Chinese, Mexican, Indian, BBQ and Thai the night before various races. The morning OF a race I have had to settle for a Sausage Egg McMuffin with Cheese before -- Columbus, Ohio, is an armpit and has no bagel shops that are open on a Sunday at 6am. The only time I had issues was at mile 18 of the ironman and at the Redman HIM. Redman's discomfort was from too many endurolytes and I was backed up for a few days. Ow. |

Funny you say that -- at Redman I was all stopped up on Endurolytes but that was my HIM PR of 5:30:04. At the Columbus marathon (a one-mile loop, 26 times. No joke!) after eating McDonald's for breakfast I PR'd with a 3:38:XX. And I had ribs the night before the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon and PRd with a 2:34:XX. I'm sensing a trend. Before IMAZ I'm going to eat Bengali food. Gosht vindalloo, anyone? |
