You're wrong. All of you.
That is all.

Ah another female perspective...I get it

If I've learned one thing from sitcoms, it's that men are all stupid and fat and women are all beautiful and wise.

Ummmm you know that's not real, right?

such a blasphemous statement, how could you go and destroy all that is real, and crush my understanding of this world?

swapping stories with another female engineer this morning she told me about a time when she was the only woman in a team meeting (typical) and they were doing some sort of teambuilding/getting to know you exercise, when a middle aged engineer asked her to tell the group why she studied engineering instead of homemaking in college.

this only happened about 6 years ago.

I can see that happening many places today still, please tell me she had a witty comeback?

clearly you are visiting other threads as well.

can you walk in high heels?  was it a natural talent or did you have to learn it?

I can walk in heels indeed, but definitely learned I vividly remember the first time I put them on. Getting ready for my first homecoming dance in 9th grade. Not pretty.

Today I learned that we don't have the right to be happy in a relationship and some forms of torture are acceptable.  Or maybe torture is a bad word.  "Enhanced" interrogation/relationship techniques is a more politically correct term?

Do you have a phone contract with unlimited minutes? We could turn this into a Sprint commercial easily!  With unlimited Data plans you could Skype yourselves to sleep listening to each other.  What kind of kooky cool name does she have?

I heard a quote today that someone had tattoo'd on their arm.  It was: "Oderint dum metuant"  which from what I found roughly translated from the latin means: "Let Them Hate as Long as Their Fear".

OK so here is the odd part, it was on the upper forearm of a women who works at the local bank.

hmmmm

football?  But I know this sounds crazy.  But my tummy still hurts about the Denver loss.  Bitter taste and watching football just is bitter sweet.  May go see Django.

Oh, and what suxxors...  I must have finally caught the bug on the flight to LA on Wednesday.  That's why I hate flying - too many people and germs.  I'm not speculating I'm sick, I'm downright sick this morning.  I hope it doesn't get any worse.

So what's the pretty engineer and her hubby up to?

i'm going home to visit my sister and brand new baby nephew.  the hubby is bachelor this weekend.  not exciting AT ALL, but i have a 3 day weekend and 350 miles to drive.

this will, of course, include the ritual visit to the college roommate and drinking our faces off tonight on the way home

and possibly some MINOR psychological torture, of course.
