No broken bones, actually only road rashes on my left side and some bruising on my hip. Done with this, not worth risking the entire season for a few races. Almost everybody doing cross falls off the bike in about half the races. |

Almost everybody doing cross falls off the bike in about half the races. As much as I like MTB trail riding, I can't imagine actually racing there for that reason. Sorry to hear about the fall Ernesto, could have been worse. |

Chris I have been trying to reinstitute the don't eat like a pig diet for 2 weeks, and it has been an utter failure. It seems like every other day I have some sort of Holiday event and I blow it. I have two temptations that are greater than me party food and bacon. I have only been able to control one. If I can just get through these next 2 weeks without gaining, I think I might be ok. If not I will be calling for a weight loss challenge. |

Not sure if I enjoy waking up every morning with sore legs and the constant tired feeling legs. I was wondering if it was only me, but I guess we all suffer from it. Managed to average 1:30/100y but painful and excruciating. After my Wednesday fall on the bike I will try to run today, I don't think I have any damage, just a little bruising and rash. Done with the CX stuff though, had more falls in a month than in the previous five years combined. Tomorrow I get to ride again, today I'll try to run. I think there is a series of Crit races that runs through the winter months, I really enjoy racing bikes and I don't want to give it up. |

I used to do a lot of mountain biking - and want to do it again this winter...your CX experience is my biggest fear. often I came back from mountain biking banged and bruised up with cuts and scrapes. No biggie if you're only riding and working out on the weekend, tough to kill yourself on Sunday and go right into workouts on Monday. |

These have basically the same soles as VFF's but without the separate toes and are made of dark leather so they look almost acceptable for work. 6 miles. Still pretty snowy and slushy on the running trail by the Mississippi.
