Anyone else have anything fun happening this weekend? Let's daydream together... |

I have what they are calling the Easy Peasy Lemmon Squeezy Ride with the tri group on Saturday. They are basically going to head up the mountain a bit at a time until the last ride is the summit. I'll have to tack a lot on to the end of the ride though since I need to be out double that. Should be fun though. Then I think I am heading out for an OWS Sunday. Not 100% sure of that. Hard to find open water aroound Tucson. Just 7 more days until Tina comes home (for a whole day and a half)... |

If the weather holds up in these parts... we are supposed to be headed to Kerrville, TX and float the river Saturday and hang out with some friends ~ dance/party Saturday night. Probably not much in the way of Tri Training, but my drink training should be ON! Cold beer & the river.... like peas & carrots! Triathlete Nation ~ Texas! | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Nicole83 - 2010-07-07 8:09 AM For what it's worth, I have this probablem at least once a week with my husband. His idea of a rough workout involves having to get up off the couch to get another beer, so when I gripe about not wanting to ride or run or whatever his go-to answer is always, "just skip it, you already did xxx this week." Like you, it's not that he's not supportive, it's just that he doesn't get it. Which is why I only gripe to him when I really do plan on skipping the work out. Then he's a good influence because he brings me wine. bzgl40 - 2010-07-06 5:49 PM Anyone else have this problem? I am like 100% more active then any of my friends (that I physically see) so I am debating with one of my friends about whether or not I should do my ride tonight or not. I switched my schedule up a bit this week due to the pool being closed yesterday, plus I had very little sleep so I am trying to decide if I am being lazy in trying to decide to ride tonight or not or if I am really as tired as I feel. It's affecting work as well as I have done nothing really all that productive today. But since my friends can't really wrap their heads around my workouts they are always rest, you need rest, your not lazy. ALWAYS. But no, sometimes am lazy and really need to talk my arse into heading out that door. My friends are useless in assisting me in pushing myself. It's not that they are not supportive, I have awesome supportive friends, it's just that they don't get it. That's why this group is so awesome. You all get it. Is xxx what I think it is? That might be a lil' TMI! Todd is the one that pointed this out to me, otherwise I would have completely missed it... Brown Chicken, Brown Cow! Ahhh, you & your husband's youthful enthusiaism ~ still in that honeymoon stage of xxx several times a week. muah ha hahahaha! |

Expert 1323 Rowlett, TX | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! I took a look at doing a race on Aug 8th that everyone else and thier dog is doing but just wont be able to make it down there. It would be fun. But wanted to remind the group that Aug 14 will be EvD group float the Comal Day and everyone is going to be peer pressured into coming. I have already gotten confirmations from the CFO, CEO and COO of the vD and Woods organizations (aka BvD and Mrs. JC). We will be meetind around 11ish at the famous grounds of I believe Landa Falls? It got super busy at noon. I also talked to the boss lady and we will be at IMTX. Pretty sure I am going to lend a hand. We had such a fun time at BSLT that we are going for this. Plus loads of peeps are doing it so it should be fun. Next is to find a good 70.3 to do next year. Who is all doing one in TX? |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Yeah, new laptop just arrived. Christmas for geeks. I still remember my last account as we ordered our big arse servers and they came in and me and the SA's were all standing around so excited. I'm lucky to like my job I guess to the point I still get excited over the weirdest things. So now my friends are telling me I am too skinny and I can't afford to lose more weight. Ken, your right, I need some additional friends that just get it. They hang around enough tri's then they might get it. And my friends are all active adults, just not to the level we all are. It's amazing how different views can be. |

Pro 4742 Sarasota FL | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Good morning gang! I'm in kind of a crummy mood this morning, but have a superfun swim planned for either lunch or after work, so I'm trying to shake off the funk and keep my chin up. I know I've asked this question before, but how does everyone time their swim stuff? There isn't one of those big fun clocks at the gym that I swim at, so I'm not really sure the best way to do it. Using a stop watch seems a little cumbersome, and I'm not sure how I would start it and then start swiming and how long that would all take? But I really don't have a better idea... So how do you do it? Thanks in advance! |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! I use my Timex Ironman watch with a lap counter. Works for me. I really use it more to keep track of sets then anything but of course timing comes along with that. I don't really need time to tell myself I'm slow though. |
