Okay, I got myself up to 60% yesterday. That should help some.

Let's get out there and grab back our first place. It's not out of reach and third place is right on our tails. So let's get in the water and swim our hearts out!

Sandi has bronchitis. I've asked her if we need to adjust her goal for the month. Her goal was 4 hours and she is just under 2 hours.

Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Getting bronchitis really put me under. So much for treating it like a cold/virus that would just work it's way through my system. Antibiotics are a wonderful drug. I went to work today and actually made it through the whole day. I'll try to ease back into workouts starting tomorrow. Laughing

Hi all,

I was away for the weekend visiting my parents (right now, that's more important than anything, as my dad has recently had heart trouble and DH and I will be moving to CO in June - gotta take advantage of the opportunities we have to see them while they're still only 2.5-hr drive away) and didn't have access to a pool.  BUT!  I did get there tonight for 1500 yds so I'm right back on schedule.

Come on swimmers!!

Sorry to hear about your Dad and yup, family trumps training for sure... but we're glad you're back and were able to hit the pool!

I've got a few swims on the schedule this week that will put me very close to my goal by Saturday.

I'm baaaaaaaaaack! I realized that I completely forgot to let the captains know I was out of town the past few days. And when we went tot he pool on Tuesday night, IT WAS CLOSED. Argh.

Have no fear, I'll still meet the goal. We have 1400 tonight.

Keep on swimming, everyone!

This is supposed to be a rest week for me, so I decided to do a little bonus swim this morning instead of a short spin. Got 1600 more yards. I'm at 88%! YAY! I think I'll finish up tomorrow with my regular swim.

What has happened to wurkit gurl? (sp?)

Hey Team!! I need your help (if you are willing) -

I submitted myself to this contest, and I just found out that I'm a finalist. It's uh, pretty exciting. The competition is tough!!

If I win, I'll be on a sponsored team with some pretty kick arse athletes.  Which is something that I can't even comprehend.  But my goal is really to show people that even a beginner can set some big goals and motivate other people to get involved in triathlon.

The info is here, on my blog, and you can watch the video too. http://pbj.typepad.com/peanut_blog_and_jelly/2008/02/cast-your-vote...

If you want to help out and vote for me - send an email to [email protected] with my name (Sarah McKibben) in the subject line.

Voting ends on Wednesday at 11:59PM and then they'll narrow it down to 7 videos.

Oh, and I'm swimming again tomorrow   I swam the furthest I've ever gone last night - 1700m!!

Hey folks - I'm not dead. I was out of town again this past weekend, and I've been working hard and pretty stressed with some personal stuff and so haven't been sleeping well at all. Hopefully, this week will be better. I plan on two really long swims this weekend (besides other weekday swims, of course) which should help me catch up.

Hey guys!!  Hope everyone had a good weekend and got some swimming in

I'm heading to the pool tonight for a 45 minute swim.  I should be at 70% after that.

That's EXACTLY where I was!     Getting out of last place.  Ok, I'm still far behind the ball, but child #1 is over her strep throat, and we have a 4 day weekend this weekend!  Please send good thoughts my way that things will go smoothly and I can do lots of swimming between now and Sunday.
