I had a gift card for Performance so I got a new one.  Between the sale and the gc, I only spent $20.  I like it a lot.  It's the Terry Butterfly Tri Gel.

I need a new fit on mine - I think some parts need to be switched out, or moved around a bit. But I also can't afford that right now either. Arg..

ATXtri - 2009-02-10 8:31 AM Herro everyone.

What's up Tex?  How are the feet today?  Getting that trench-foot cleared up yet?

Nada mucho, Sprint. My feet still look the same but I did get fitted for Superfeet insoles last night. Maybe that will help the situation? Spokes - HOLLA!!! Long time no see.

Hope the insoles help so that you don't end up with corns or something.  That would really be gross.

Would corns be that much worse than what i already have going on? ha. I need to stop wearing flip flops and cover these bad boys up.

Yeah, they are a lot worse from what I understand.  Take forever to heal and can reduce blood flow.  Even worse if you're diabetic...although I don't know of many TANners who are.

N0pe, not diabetic although I'm probably headed that direction with the amount of sugar that I eat on a daily basis.

1). Cut the refined sugar out of your diet as much as possible.
2). My older brother is diabetic.  It's not a fun life.

The Blonde is a Type 1 diabetic, has been since age 6. Its a PITA but she handles it well, I've only seen one bad sugar crash in the year and a half we've been dating. That was frackin' scary.

But it is cool to go into a restaurant and see her take her blood sugar and shoot up.

Bet she doesn't weigh over 300 lbs and is a walking heart-attack.  I be scared of losing the only family member that I actually talk with (out of 6 others).

I think I probably need to get the bike fit and saddle done at the same time - in case the two are related, ya know? I've heard good things about the Terry saddle (one of the NoVA BT'ers, I think Shelly, has it), so it's definitely on my list of ones to consider - plus, they come in pink, so, duh...

I like my bike, I think it just needs some tweaking. I'm fit pretty well, but esp. in light of the leg length issues, and now I have to get a shim on one side, I need a "good" (ie, expensive) fit. When I got the bike, they did the whole plumb-line-from-the-knee thing, but the PT said I should get a more thorough fit (and no, she does not work for the bike shop).

I dated a swimmer once. After awhile you don't notice it

At my old office, one of the principle architects had an espresso machine, and every morning, he'd fill the place with the smell of burnt coffee. Similarly, the pres's crazy admin would yell at people for burning candles in their offices, or whatever, but then she'd go make popcorn in the microwave and the floor would smell like burnt popcorn. Arg.

Weird smells annoy me.
