At least I learned the fear of a crowd wasn't enough to derail getting in every possible lap, either that or my self-preservation instinct to delay the humiliation. Either or. On a positive note, in trying to get every possible lap in before the 3pm cut-off, because I was late I did all my laps consecutively without breaks - and it was only 100 meters less than my race distance. Go Jenna Go! |

That's why there was no traffic today...Monday is a holiday, huh? I saw Avatar last weekend and it was pretty good; the visuals are spectacular - I was particulary fond of the flora on that planet. |

I got a walk/run Saturday and biking on Sunday! Have a great weekend all! |

Member 64 | Subject: RE: Artemis's Group - FULL! I don't have anything special going on this weekend. Just the usual things with the kids. DH is off on Monday, so at least we'll have an extra weekend day. I just ran my longest run ever - 7 miles. I did it on the treadmill too since the weather is rainy. It wasn't too bad although the treadmill was rather boring. Some of our treadmills at the gym have tv's, and that would help with the boredom, but I can't watch a tv bouncing up and down with the treadmill. It makes me motion sick. Have a good weekend everyone! |

Regular 63 Fort Myers, FL | Subject: RE: Artemis's Group - FULL! So I'm really bummed out right now. The race that I was planning to do as my 1st tri ever is already closed! I was scheduled to do it on 6/6/2010 and am pretty upset about it. Guess I'll have to look for another one...just can't lose momentum |

With tris gaining popularity, some of them fill up really early! |

Tomorrow I start my diet and training. Well, the advantage to being a paying member is that there are more training plans available to you and that you have more options for logging your training. For instance, if you use a Garmin, you can download workouts directly from it to your training log. I would check out the available training plans. If one of them is interesting to you, it's probably worth becoming a member to get the plan. Good to see you back!! |

I've not yet taken advantage of the training plans, but being able to upload directly from my Garmin is great. Beyond that, I rely upon BT for keeping all my logs, etc, so I feel it only right that I pay for all I get. |

Regular 58 Syracuse | Subject: RE: Artemis's Group - FULL! Had a great workout today at the gym (other than running into my boss, but that wasn't THAT bad). And although I know the calorie counters on machines are notoriously faulty, I can't help enjoy the fact that the Nordic Track treadmill had to "roll over" on the calories, when I pushed the inclines on my 60 minute walk and it went past 1000 and can only display 3 digits. FINALLY got up a good healthy sweat and pushed hard. I definitely work harder at the gym than at home, I may have to suck up the cost and join. |

I'm going to see if there's any machines at my gym that I can "break"! lol...that's probably actually very satisfying... |
