Merry Christmas (a day late) Crushers!  I've been off line for a while, scrambling to prepare and then just taking the day to enjoy the family computer free.  Hope you all had a great day!  And that you all have gotten in more workouts than I have this past week...

How was your christmas?

I did another one of Jorge's sessions this morning.

Have to talk myself through them!

My sister dragged me on a walk with my mom. Except--I seemed to have to keep running back to the house for stuff. So I got, like, an interval workout.

It was all so very pleasant, yet nauseating.

Nice pictures! I love the way the snow looks, I just prefer that it's gone before I go outside. Unless I am going to do a winter activity...

I actually do love snow when it is all sweet and pretty and clean like that. And I love going out in it, too. I haven't run in the snow since, shoot 1997 or so, though. And that was a one-time thing ... don't know how I'd feel about it now! Maybe I would get used to it?

I lived in the mountains for a year in So Cal and we had snow on the ground a good 5 months out of the year. I adored it. Very strange.

QueenZipp - 2010-12-23 3:44 PM Swam today, my lats and triceps were cursing Rasoul for yesterday....Went out to run this evening and rolled my ankle on the same leg as my gastrocs injuyr.  It seemed to stir up the gastrocs so I turned in before I could do any damage.

Ouch. Be careful out there.

Snow would be nice. I'm missing the snow this year. I was really hopeful for this winter because of some big early storms that we had but that snow is all gone now. My son was excited to get up on Christmas day and not have any snow. Its only the second Christmas I can remember without any snow. We got a light dusting yesterday afternoon. Just enough to cover the windshield, melt a little and then turn to ice and make things difficult to scrape the windows this morning before I could leave for work. I'm sure it will be all gone by the end of today.

Good morning Yanti! Its good to see your bright smiling face. It helps to lift me from my post-Christmas blues sitting here at work when the rest of my team is still out enjoying their Christmas vacation.

So crushers - we have only a few days left until January! Are we still following through with the previously discussed plan? (The 1 point for 20 mins activity, 1 point for 7+ fruit/veg...) I would volunteer to post it up but I'm afraid my ability to create a spreadsheet and get it onto the BT challenge area is questionable. I can start the thread!

I just did my morning weigh in... Yesterday I was 174 and today 158?!?

I checked 2 more times and got the same number. Very irritated that my scale may be broken (I didn't think that I lost 16lbs from eating chocolate, fries and pasta yesterday... but I did spend an hour on my spinner...) I picked it up to examine it. My loving cat was so kind to rig it so that her mommy can see results faster - there was a toy mouse wedged underneath it.

I'm in a few challenges that weight loss is a component so I will post it around all 3 since it's such a cute story - sorry if you're in multiple challenges with me!

I can work on a simple spreadsheet but I have a question. For the activity points, would you rather key in the number of minutes and have it calculate the points or should we let people calculate their own points? I was thinking about copying the CWWC spreadsheet for a starting point and have a column for fruit/veggie points and another for activity. Or should I just have one column for points? What are your thoughts peoples?

So the challenge is just:
1 pt for each 20 min activity
1 pt for each 7 fruit/veg?

Do you want people to calculate their own points? Or do you want the spreadsheet to do it for you?

Hm....

Whoops. I should have read this first.

Here's what I've put together so far. Feel free to edit it, use it, or ignore it.

The spreadsheet I set up has three columns per week:
a) Minutes of activity
b) total fruits/veggies
c) Points assigned -- which is automatically calculated.

There are 4 sets of columns. One for each week.

The final column sums up all the points for the month.

I love the spreadsheet! Thanks for putting this together!

I think that we should have a third category... just because 2 feels so naked. Any suggestions? Maybe 1 point for every junk food free day?
