100 Days of Ghoulie power, Part II (Page 19)

Good afternoon Ghoulies!

The weekend was a busy one again. On the run most of yesterday in the rain. Today I drove down to Annapolis to see The Hunger Games with my sister. My GPS kidnapped me, and it took me 2:30 to get there, it was all backroads. On the way home I hit the beltway and did the trip in 1:30. The movie gave me a headache, and I feel sick in the stomach. The camera was always moving, and frequently bouncing. My sister got a headache from it, too. I don't think we were the only ones, either. I'm not going to give anything away, but I did prefer the book.

So Friday I worked from home for most of the day. I typically leav work between 1:30 and 2:00 anyway. The new guy called my desk at 2:45 Friday afternoon to ask for directions. I just got his voicemail 10 minutes ago. I think 5:51am is a bit early to be calling him, don't you?

nope. he deserves it.

He's here. I don't really like him, but I'm giving him a chance. He seems to have a bit of arrogance, or attitude about him. I may have to beat that out of him.

It is a beautiful day here, but windy and a little chilly (compared to what we are currently used to).

I am hopeful to get in the garden today but I am going to head into town first to get a swim in. It should warm up by noon to go play in the yard.

My boss told me last week to let him know from the beginning  that I am the one in charge. I have no plans on taking any chit from him.

Good for you. Laying down the line in the sand! Just don't let him bring you down.

That's a good point to remember. Since my boss already doesn't like him (he called me this morning to see if the new guy even showed up) I don't think it would be easy for him to do, but I need to not do it to myself.

Now I'm worried.  I'm going next Sunday with friends and they want to see it in the IMAX theatre.  I think I'll take dramamine beforehand if the camera moves around as much as it seems from your post.

I was reading the thread about it in COJ and no one mentioned it. It may not be a problem for everyone, but it was for me. I can't watch any 3-D movie though, I have the some problem.

I prefer the books, too. They have to cut so much out of the books to fit it in the alloted movie time slot, plus you can use your imagination with the books. In my previous experience, the only 2 movies that have even come close to the books have been Lord of the Flies, and Dances With Wolves. Nothing else even comes close.

They grow up so fast, don't they?

Nice!  We had pretty weather, and I ran both Saturday and Sunday!  Back to rain tomorrow.  oh well.

2+ years ago we were on a team for a monthly challenged. We clicked, several members of the group stuck around. We challenge and support each other. We also mention alcohol and Cabana Boys a lot.

This started as a challenge team a few years ago.  After that challenge, we just kept going as a team with our own monthly challenges.  And a lot of chatter about our lives! 

Did I hear alcohol and cabana boys?!?
