You guys are awesome.  I need to not post at midnight when I'm tired and cranky.  It's really not all that bad here.  And I AM looking forward to seeing the middle kid tomorrow - just not doing the 28 hour-quick trip with a finance lesson thrown in!

What a weekend for the MG!  and lots of reports to read!  Yea!

As a warm-up for IMMOO-watching on sunday, I'm racing the Pac Grove Oly on Saturday.  With Zach & Jeff - should be fun!  Lots of smack talking going on around here.

Linda,

I welcome you to come to my house, and kick all of my children s a$$. All in there early 20's and still weaning ...I need to be a little tougher and kick them all out. Although then what ? Hmmmm ....more training time, more money, more playing....I can live with that.

Although I would miss them Frown.  But I guess I have to grow up some day.

Good luck getting through the teen years..it does get better

Congratulations Jayne on your first OLY....we could have done that race together and been within seconds of each other.

Congrats Rob on the two races in one day that is crazy.

Everyone enjoy the day!!

Taper week for me...possibly my last tri of the year?  Need to get back in the gym and put some weight and muscle back on.

Just signed up for my last race of the season, a sprint on Sept. 25th.  I'm really excited about this race because it seems like a bit of a vacation after the oly.  I even more excited because it's a trail run!!  Maybe THIS will be the race where I "rock" the run Cool

I'm ready to get back at it, but my body thinks I should take another day off.  Laughing

Must be a hardship (insert smart-a$$ grin here Wink

I, on the other hand, am looking forward to getting back to the gym to add some muscle and try to KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF.

Sorry I haven't been around lately, I've been super busy with work and a bunch of work I "volunteered" to do in my "free" time.  Plus my back has been keeping me from training with any intensity until recently, which was bumming me out a bit so I haven't had much positive to add to the discussions.

Back seems to be getting close to 100%, was able to do a good hard 2 hr ride today with no issues and first CX race of the year coming up this weekend, and kids are back in school tomorrow so I'm hoping our schedule gets into some sort of rhythm.

Looking forward to reading everyones race reports and following Kim and Suzy this weekend!

Very exciting!!!!! Go Suzy!

I had a great swim this morning, 3000m and felt relaxed and strong. My knee hardly played up so tonight I'm trying a little run/walk.

Yeah Suzy  although I thought you were starting to reeeeeaaly like swimming .
I tried to sign up for one more race but they were already sold out so I guess that really was my last tri of the season. I looked back to the first super spring I did at Guelph Lake several years ago and on the weekend I still beat that time. Its amazing how far we all come over the years without even realizing it.

So I decided to sign up for one last Sprint to end the "Tri" season.

How much training will I have to do to be able to complete the 500 yard pool swim?

Laughing

wait,  so you were already in the offseason.  which means you were not supposed to swim because you can't gain anything from swimming in the offseason.  you're good!

HA!   have fun!!!

I'm excited for you Suzy!! You've been working so hard this season with some hiccups along the way. :-)

WTG racers who finished their races this past weekend!

Ironman World Championship 70.3 is all around Henderson. :-)  Kind of silly because Henderson is a separate town from Las Vegas....but what sounds better? Henderson or Las Vegas? :-)  This is the specific reason why my fiance doesn't want to live in "Henderson"...he wants our address to say, "Las Vegas". Go figure.

Frame woes - after all the little fiascos - I went to a third bike shop, and I was measured up, and the fitter says, "Yup. You'll be better off getting a 44cm frame."

The ONLY major difference in the geometry that I need is the head top tube length. Thank you Jamis for changing the frame!  I only have to pay very little to move the components over.  I'm praying that this will solve my little nagging issues.  If it does, I *can* finally put on aero bars!!  My previous bike was a little too long, even with the shortest stem possible, I would never be able to be comfortable as I would be too stretched out.

I have a 91.1k Remembrance Ride this Saturday, and it'll be my longest ride ever...

Want to throw this out to the group.  I have a few things that I would like to get my hands on for my first off-season; a trainer, a hr monitor, and the total immersion swim program.

If any of you are upgrading and need someone to buy your extra stuff, let me know.

P.S. I've been watching the classifieds here on bt, but haven't been able to lay my hands on any of these things yet.  Usually, I'm too slow! lol
