This would be like the rhythm gymnastics of DDO (Domestic Duty Olympics)!  Absolutely NO offense Mon--you know I think that's freakin awesome.  And so does every single man in COJ

Hahaha!  Yeah, pretty much no one thinks about rhythmic gymnastics as a sport... so the sewing thing would fit right in!

I did forget one thing though - I'm freakin' AWESOME at putting together Ikea stuff.  And I actually also LIKE putting it together. Weird, I know.

I'm thankful for that. Because I hate putting Ikea stuff together. I spend three hours saying `FUUUUDGE!' over and over. And `WTF language are these instructions in!? You'd think the Dutchlandinavianish people would learn English!' and such.

Cooking - both the planned out Holiday dinners, and toss seamingly random ingredients together to make dinner on the fly. And composting.I don't thinks this is quite a domestic duty, but using a chuckits to throw the ball for the dog - me and the hound could totally medal in both distance and style.Mr. Booty: Dish washing and floor sweeping.

So full of win--I want an address so I can send you your medal.  Kickazz.

Haha! It'll cost you!  Shipping to China is $$$.   Working for an Engine company has paid off like this several times.   Access to the test fleet for personal use is a major perk!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I was filled with anticipation for this event, as it was the first in what I hoped would be many triathlons, and I had no idea how I'd do.

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Know that base training is not a component of training that is going to necessarily make you faster, but it will make you stronger and give you more endurance to last through the longer races.

Knowing where the fluids are, how they will fit on your bike, how much to reach for, and when to reach for it should be understood prior to ever setting foot on the course.

I had read the articles on BT, I'd trained, and I thought I had prepared. There were, however, a few things that I didn't internalize despite what I'd been told.

Your training schedule should be based completely on the hours you have available to train, not necessarily on the number of hours you "need" to train.
