the bear - 2012-10-31 7:20 AM Maybe it's a regional thing, but Necco wafers are a prized Halloween rarity around here, bring back childhood memories.
We've got a NECCO wafer factory about three miles down the road here, so they can't be too regional.

They are in just about every 7-11 I have seen.  Just sort of hidden away.  Bottom shelf, with all the other misc. candies.

I guess I worded it funny, but what I meant is that it's rare to see them given out as Halloween candies in this area. Also, I couldn't tell you the last time I've been in any convenience store, much less browsing the candy rack in one.

haha, awesome.

Smarties are at the top of my list.  Can't wait for tonight.  My little guy doesn't care much for candy so I pretty much get his haul.Smile

bradleyd3 - 2012-10-31 9:21 AM You can't trust candy corn because people put razor blades in them and then the kids eat them and die..... Read about it on the internet....

When I was a kid, my dad used to spill our candy out onto the kitchen table and to over it with a really strong magnet checking for needles and razor blades.

And never found anything...  I'm assuming.

OR, he found all his favorite candy "suspect" and relieved you of it?
