Congrats to you both you are truly amazing.

Chris did you come in just before the person collapsed just before the finish line? I was watching on the net and it seemed just a bit after your time that is happened. Does anyone know what happened to this person?

Dude, a building could have collapsed in front of me and I would have missed it! Kari was upset that I missed her at the finish line after high fiving my Dad. I figured out later that it was a fluke since I was fiving everyone down the right side then the left side. She was right next to him and was amazed that I missed her. Hope the person was alright, there were 5 ambulances on the route screaming by me as I was on the end of the run going past Skaha Lake. I heard that there were a lot of medical calls which was strange I thought with the nice cool weather. Thanks for watching, it was an amazing day!

Congrats to each and everyone who finished and those who gave it their best shot. I was amazed at the determination and will power at those who competed. I had the honor to run with my sister the last 500 meters who's final time was 16:59:10. Thats a lot of time to be sole searching. I think if it wasn't raining so hard you would have found a tear in the corner of my eye!

As for the race itself I worked as a medic and I  thought I would have had a quiet day( 1st time). How wrong I was! To start we pulled out at least 10 from the lake who became hypothermic. Then racers started dropping like flies with stomach cramping/vommitting. But the thing that amazed me was the mental breakdown of some of the athlete's. Due to the fact I signed up for 09 for the first time I am very concerned about nutrition and the mental aspect one must consider. Dan and Ronin tell me not to worry but I think they are blowing smoke up my#$%.

Once again for all those who competed you have my humble respect. KBRUCEH
