I get up around 5 am so I can relax with the Internet and my cat until around 6 am when I do something -- go running or go to the gym. A really good fun day for me is go running in AM, take bike on bus to work and then ride home. THat's a good day and I arrive home smiling. It's a 12 mile ride home.
If I don't sleep well, I find exercise is the only thing to get me sane and less grumpy. I do love sleep, but sometimes my thyroid condition interferes a little, if anything has interfered with my thyroid meds.
I think waking early and going to bed early keeps you young, as I've read that if you go to bed early, your body releases more growth hormone, but who knows. It does interfere with social life.
