Maybe so - and gracious knows I wouldn;t want either of my daughters to pose in a magazine nude - but --- I don't think you can say that she has done herself any disservice by doing it. If - to her - it was what she wanted to do and she had no moral or ethical issues with it - then she is free to do so and it shouldn't pale her in people's eyes. We can't - and most of us do it a lot - hold others responsible for our feelings about sex/nudity/drinking, unless they are violating a law. She didn't violate any that I know of, so we really have no right to project "our" morals on her. I do realize that you said "in your eyes" and that is fine, but Dan stated his opinion - through his eyes - and you were disattisfied with that. If he respects the view through your eyes - you should respect the view through his and accept that you don;t feel the same --- and also respect the fact that she obviously doesn't feel the same wway as you either - so that's her deal. How would it be different if she was an actress and was nude in a movie? Would you still put that distinction on her then? I don;t know the answer - it is a question I aam curious about and no answer can be wrong. Sorry - Hijack off. |
