Subject: RE: How dare he????well, speaking as a very happily married person who does tris...he's nuts! granted, i'm unemployed, so i have lots of time to train during the day (my employ is being mom ). if i was working AND training, it might be more of an issue, but i know many people make it work. the main thing is that your partner needs to be supportive, and better still, also be active. my husband doesn't do tris, but he LOVES biking and is trying running. i should say, that he wanted to do a century this year and we decided that it would take too much time away from family. instead we did a duathlon together (i ran, he biked ) and some other shorter rides. once the kids are older doing longer training rides will be easier, since we can do it together w/o having to have the kids along in the burley. anyway, i'm rambling. i would have been mad too. |
