Their advantage is that they dont live in crappy weather.  They hardly need our sympathy.

Good point.

Hey, does 26F with 24mph winds in a mix of sleet and snow count as crappy weather? Does living in TX and having those conditions count for more??? If so, let me in!

I will add you to the sheet but no Texas points.  We call that 'spring' in these parts.    Way to get out there!

Um.... are there like explainations for what crappy things give points?

The formula and multipliers are as follows:

TemperatureWind factor
30-35 .5 pointlight winds (5-10 mph)  1 point
25-29 1 points11-19 mph- 2 points
15-24 3 points20+- 4 points
1-14 5 points
0 and below 8 points
PrecipBike multiplier
drizzle/light snow 1 point1 point for outdoor ride sub 50 degrees
heavy rain/snow 3 points
Suck-o-meter scoring
Time in minutes x (Temp mult+Wind mult+precip mult+ Bike mult)= Suckitude score

***50 degrees in the cutoff for Suckitude for the purposes of the challenge.  Welcome aboard!!

Ok, no points for TX - but we get plenty of wind. I also spent plenty of time outside, so I should be able to balance out decently.

Looks like yesterday's run would equate to 192 points.

Mark,

If you want, I've attached a spreadsheet that does all the calculations for you.  FYI, if the temp is 36-50 you do get suck points for wind, wet, and bike, just not temp.

Well, It has been a rough week for me. But besides that, the weather has been warmer! That really is a good thing. This morning was 25 degrees and it snowed 6-8 inches. Still a good thing, tho I didnt get out for a run in it.

Will run tomorrow morning for additional crummy weather points but so far this week, it looks like you all may catch up!

My only cold points for the week are from todays bike ride:

55 mins x (28F + 6mph wind + bike) = 55 x (1+1+1) = 165

I should be beaten for wimping out on three 15- 20F days this week.   Surprised

Ended up still getting some good crummy weather days in. And it is warming up here today to 28, great running weather but I have decided to not run for a few days, hoping that some aches I sustained in a recent car accident go away.

Really poor showing for me last week. I'm a little nervous about being able to compete in this challenge for the next few weeks, with Christmas activities taking up so much time. I feel like I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

Tues - 246 pts

that's all I've got. BOO Erin, I'll try to do better this week.

Boo nuthin'.  Every little bit counts.  I feel the same way with having a mary taper and how little I have been able to throw on the spreadsheet.  Hoping the rest of the winter leads to some epic Suckage.

I agree, no boos (booze?...perhaps, boos?...no) to anybody gettin out there, even once and a while.  I get busy and frustrated like that occasionally, and I've learned it'll pass and you'll be kicking tail before you know it.

My little jog in the blizzard on friday gave me something to put up here.

RUN: 12/1 145 points. Won't win any prizes with that one but it sure was fun.
