That is what working out is all about. My goal is to get to the point were I can cheat more and maintain while working out. I'm about 8 lbs away from that goal so I still feel bad when I cheat but hey life is short and pizza, wings, and beer is sooooo gooooooood.

Yeah, I took that approach with IM training last year... and I got up to 130 pounds... I had to work hard to get down to 118 pounds.

lol I'm down to 197 from 265 so I take some cheat days as long as I'm not gaining weight I'm good. Once I gain weight I get back on track. I am still trying to loose about 8 lbs but it's very hard now

If I were 118 lbs, I'd probably eat a large 6-cheese pizza by myself, too.  Tongue out But alas, at 150lbs...I'm nowhere near that, and eating a large pizza by myself is simply not an option.

I went to Subway for lunch today, ordered foot-long roasted chicken sandwich (no cheese or mayo) but I at all the whole thing!  I usually eat half and save the rest for later.

Abbie... I think that's way too healthy for this thread!

My confession... let's see... I have 3 days to confess for. So much. Let's just focus on Sunday.

Sunday I had Sonic- Large tator tots and mozzerella sticks. THEN I went out that night for Braum's... had vanilla yogurt mixed with Heath bar.

between sunday night and a few minutes ago, I have eaten several bagels slathered with cream cheese, anything that had carb attatched, and a whole package of break and bake tollhouse cookies.

a whole flippin package.

i swear I'm going to be fat forever.

Now that's the spirit!

Confession has been made. You can get back on your plan now.

Dont beat yourself up for the "once a week pig out". If you train hard for six, and count the fuel your eating...the once a week belly treat is actually a nice reward....over time...as you continue to loose weight you will find your weekly gorge getting smaller and smaller as your stomach shrinks with your body.

I frequently have a "snap" day...and in the grand scheme...it does not sideline you much. Toss an extra half hour on that bike come monday and those two pizza slices are history.

Only two slices? Uh, I took down a large pizza to myself last week.

Forgive as since my last triathlon two years ago I stopped training and have gained 50 lbs through eating and drinking too much.

I have begun making the changes necessary in my life however and have my eyes on the 2010 triathlon season and late summer 2009 running.

the best motivators to me are the Iornman video segments (roughly an hour to two hours each) airing on Universal Sports channel. They amp me out so much that I am completely back on focus after watching one of those. I've saved about five of them and watch them in rotation. I can almost see the kids and wife's eyes roll back in thier head when plop down on the couch, grab the controller, and pull up my recorded selections. They know exactly what I am getting ready to watch...again, and again, and again.

I love it...(laughing).

Been there with you on that one...here is a list of the other sins I can remember

1. Cliff peanut butter bar...ohh so good. About four in a row good. MUUAHAHAHA
2. MGD light..only 64 calories...shure..I'll have another..and another..and another
3. KFC extra crispy...I'll take the $28 bucket for me, my wife, and me again. Don't forget those biscuits too!
4. Cereal...in a mixing bowl. (Reeses puffs won't make it 24 hours in my pantry....but I do recycle the box!).
5. Bacon...who in gods name brought this home...and why can't I cook all 24 slices at the same time..I don't want to wait for seconds.

Anyway...sin makes me happy in moderation. I just kick it up a notch the next day and sub out a light or medium training event with a tough long event.

I will not allow myself to buy cereal. I will eat a box in a day's time. It will be breakfast/lunch/dinner and it doesn't even fill me up!

I had an entire pint of ice cream the other night. Although it was only 600 cals it's still a fairly big self control slip considering it was like 3am and I had to drive to go get it.

Funny thing is I woke up and I was 2 lbs lighter the next morning.

I'm still working off my post-tri weight gain from this past winter, but it's down to about 35lbs now after this past month of extra hard work.

I'm not going through this again next winter. I'm signing up for a spring half mary to keep me on track!

600 cals is not THAT bad... but driving in the middle of the night to go get it... that's just downright impressive right there.

I had 3 1/2 Ice cream sandwiches after masters swim last night, not sure how many calories that was! The 1/2 was from the one my six year old daughter was eating, I needed it more than she did!!!!!

Forgive me.

I am only 4 weeks into my training and because of a wedding i fell off the horse. I just finished 6.. yes 6, carne asada tacos and a beer. I hate myself. Sickness and traveling have not been my friend.

erm... confession... In the last 4 days I've had 2x 12 inch spicy meat pizzas and 1 curry with naan bread. I've also done virtually no exercise at just 18 miles on the bike in the last 10 days.

As a result I've lost 3lb in the last 5 days.

???

I ate more pizza this weekend... but ONLY 4 slices. Told my boyfriend he could order some, but I would not be eating a large to myself. GO ME! HA!

Of course, I also ate Mexican food and had a frozen adult beverage... along with a few glasses of diet coke and vodka... the day before.
