Extreme Veteran 1222 Tallahassee, Florida | Subject: RE: 100 miles run in June 4.5 miles for me yesterday...on hills...in the rain. Hopefully I can catch some rain tonight (therefore cooler temps). As for tracking, I used to have a Garmin 305 but it gave up the ghost. While debating on what I wanted to do to replace it, I found that my tennis elbow was cured and that my running was better without me being focused on my mileage and pacing. So now I run with just a watch. I know the distance for many of my routine routes but still doublecheck things on runningahead.com because I'm exceptionally anal about reporting my mileage accurately. It would burn my butt if I overreport. I don't like to underreport either but I will do that before overreporting by even a tenth of a mile. Anybody else like that? |

Well shoot...it's Nat'l Running Day and today was an off day for me. Crap. Everyone make sure to check your emails because sometimes different running mags offer specials on Nat'l Running Day. Last year, I think I got a full year of Women's Running for $1. I went for a walk this evening but I don't count in my running mileage because I had a drink in my hand. :-) Just went out to enjoy the weather, stretch my legs, pet some dogs, and talk to neighbors. Now doing some yoga stretches, planks, and I guess I'll go get The Stick out and work on my calves now. |

9 Aurora, Colorado | Subject: RE: 100 miles run in June It was perfect a perfect morning for running today, 65 degrees and overcast. As I missed yesterdays run I ran further than I usually do and it felt great. I actually felt I could go further but didn't want to overdo it. Running is actually starting to feel natural again ! Perfect forum to keep up the motivation factor. I am also training to get my first sprint triathlon in this season. My biggest obstacle is swimming. Even though I have been swimming a few months it still doesn't feel natural, so if anyone has any tips I would love to hear it. Keep up the good work everyone. 7.73 mi Distance 01:12:43 Duration 09:24 min/mi Ø Pace 305 ft 308 ft 1067 kcal |

I have started with Sheila taorima's swim speed dry land cord work for my stroke. I am s-l-o-w but I am much more comfortable in the water and can easily swim a mile straight. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: 100 miles run in June I am behind, but I expected that. Nothing yesterday but driving with my 87 year old mom for 12 hours (and her cat). When I got home, I opted for wine I did get some miles in down in Fla. I am having to walk instead of run. My pulled/torn tendon is still not willing to pony up to running. It is kind of sad/funny that my walking pace and my "running" pace are not that far off. |
