Sweet That is awesome might be better to bring a mountain bike then a road bike then. Speaking of which I have to get mine in to Fort Street Bikes for the safety check

I'm a "Maybe" for the ride on Saturday... waiting to see how my day goes tomorrow - I'll keep ya posted.

But I'm volunteering at the race on Sunday ... I'll be in either transition or at the entrance to Seaparc (in/out of T1/T2) ... hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of you!

I will try and make it. I went out for a short run last night just 4 k and hurt my calf muscle hopefully it will be somewhat ok because I am doing this thing anyway if it likes it or not.

I picked up my race package and am not happy with the number I got. I got number 1

Went out to Sooke today to drive the course and it was WET SNOW!!! Hilly course but great scenery along the water for some of it.

Sorry I won't be joining you guys tomorrow ... stuff gets in the way of life sometimes ...

But hopefully we can meet/get together in Sooke ... I'm volunteering, I'll be somewhere in transition ... I'm mid-30's although I look mid 20's (yay genes!) ... I'm Cree although I look Caucasian (damm genes) ... 5'6, slim, short hair, probably wearing some shade of blue ...

Hey guys, I am on my way to the ferries to work in Victoria. I will try to break away for a while tomorrow to watch the race in Sooke. Pretty hard to miss me as I'm in a big pick up with "HAZ-MAT" decals all over it. So if you see me wave me down! I know Shawn is #1 so he'll be an easy pick but I'll be watching for everyone else! Good luck to everyone riding today and racing tomorrow, you are all NUTS!

Well I'm a dispatcher, so basically I'm the cop's secretary ... with the added bonus of being a secretary that gets to tell them where to go. ;-)
But yup - I do all the call-outs or arrange the call-outs, for stuff like that ...

I'll look for you on Sunday ... I'll be freezing my tucus off volunteering in transition. ;-)

Well, I'd like to say "that was a GREAT ride!"... but I can't. Cuz I wussed out. My neck was incredibly stiff & painful yesterday and I still didn't have full movement today.. so I bailed.

But I showed up at 10 anyway, cuz I didn't want them thinking that nobody loves them. : Good thing I did, cuz nobody else showed up (BOO!)... and the weather was kinda crappy. Hope they had a good ride.
