Believe it or not, I may actually sit it out. It would be the first one since September that I haven't participated in.... Yeah, it's a "werk" thing. It's going to be another crazy month. May is going to be a big "meeting and planning" month. Bleh. June will be better though. (Even if I have to quit to make it so. LOL) That makes a lot of sense. I hope you get to be less busy at work soon. I'm going to try to do the challenge. I guess it really depends on what I find out from the docs this week. What makes sense? Quitting my job? LOL How are you feeling? Any better? Have you been able to work out? (Or are you not allowed?) |

Someone volunteered to run it? Hmmm. I may sit it out again, too. May is the last ramp up to Mooseman, awards and end of school stuff, and the kids start swim team practice. It was nice not to have to worry about making totals, especially since the weather did not cooperate at all in the beginning of this month. Gonna grab a shower and put on my pj's. I'm tired! I wanna watch you in the Mooseman! Of course, it is a rather long drive to get there.... LOL Beginning of June, right? |

Well, I meant not doing the challenge makes sense, but quitting your job is a close second. I'm still getting sick when I eat certain things. I had an ultrasound of my gall bladder on Friday and haven't gotten the results. If that's negative I have to get another scan to check that out. I went for a bike ride today. I'm basically allowed to do as much as I can without hurting myself or feeling really sick. I went for a bike ride with Judi today. That went well. It was fun. |

It will be weird if I don't do the challenge. I've done 8 in a row. Have you noticed a trend in the things that you're eating that cause a problem? (ie: high fat, etc?) Glad to hear that you're allowed to keep working out. A bike ride with Judi? Cool! That must have been fun! |

I had potato salad on Friday and got pretty sick from that. On the plus side, it's been pretty good at detracting me from eating lots of crap. We had a good ride today. It was nice to ride with someone else. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) So I am going to order a road ID and I'm trying to figure out what medical things are important to put on there. What did you guys put on yours? Things I could include but I'm not sure if they are important: asthma, hypothyroid, almond allergy (in case I have a reaction?), O+ blood. Any suggestions? |

Is there room for emergency contact numbers for your husband and the Dr's number? There probably isn't room for a medication list but that would be helpful to keep available. So I am going to order a road ID and I'm trying to figure out what medical things are important to put on there. Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) Artemis - 2008-04-27 8:17 PM THat looks pretty good. If you have no drug allergies you could add NKDA somewhere near the almond allergy so in an emergency they wouldn't have to wonder if they could give a particular med. That little acronym is helpful for EMS types and really is important information for crews. zipp1 - 2008-04-27 9:12 PM Artemis - 2008-04-27 8:03 PM You have the highlights--though any drug reactions are also important. Here's what I have fit on it now: Jennifer Irene Drake Most hospitals use the SSN for generating medical records. I understand the hesitation in having that number readily accessible and all hospitals use a back up system if the number isn't available on pt presentation so it really isn't an absolute necessity to have on the Road ID |

Jen, I forgot to say you may want to add the DOB on there some way. It is a valuable piece of info too. We used name/DOB to look up pts if the SSN was not available in the ER. |
