There was one where they were showing MP cheering and it was basically  his a$$ in the camera. Um, I nearly died.

Just to mix it up: I've developed serious crushes on several beach volleyball players, including the triumphant underdogs Plavins and Samoilovs (especially Samoilovs, maybe 'cause he looks like a giant elf) from Latvia ... I mean, really, Latvia ... and they beat the #1 seed in pool play. Kudos. And for being easy to watch, y'know, too.

But it is not fair (for us) that the men beach volleyball players wear baggy clothing and the women wear bikini's...what is up with that???

He is also a bit more age-appropriate.  I feel like a dirty old woman lusting after Lochte. Even though he's only like 3 years younger than I am.

I watched this with my wife. She said "Phelps needs to pull up his suit" on the out side, on the inside I think it was something more like "Yeah baby, pull it down just a bit more for mamma! That's how she likes it you naughty boy". She was staring at the TV like a deer about to get hit by a truck!

No kidding, man! Break out the Speedos! Often, though, at practice and matches, they do go shirtless just not at the Olympics.

More Olympians at beach volleyball ... Mr. Jake Gibbs and Mr. Sean Rosenthal.

May I add, very deliberately to incur your jealousy, that I get to watch these and many other similar shirtless wonders playing beach volleyball every single time I go running (and often, biking). I do, of course, take very conveniently-timed walk breaks.

Isn't that the truth!! The women have amazing bodies and wear tiny swim suits...Why do they need to cover up the men with all that clothing. That's cruel!

Edited to add:^^^that's what I'm talking about above!!!

There we go! Now why the hell weren't they playing shirtless yesterday? It was pouring rain anyway, I mean, I would think that wet clothes would just be cumbersome

tnickerson - 2008-08-08 3:48 PM I found this link today while on the NBC Olympics site.  "Ab fab - Guess the swimmer"  It's a slide show. Nuff said?

http://www.nbcolympics.com/swimming/photos/galleryid=156776.html

"how to keep Yanti busy for an afternoon"

I got Lochte, Peirsol, and Hansen right. Not, uh, that I would really know anything about these things, uh, wild guesses.

Well now, Miss Yanti, you do know that you must continue playing until you get 100%...

Simply because I've been staring at these all day. Sure, Michael Phelps is the best swimmer ever, but DANG, Lochte is fine.
