Hi again,

Matt created a spreadsheet for us to log our runs. Please use it so that everything is logged in one place and so that we can all see how everyone is doing and cheer, egg, guilt the team to success.

Thanks, Nicole

Ok, 3.2 on the dreadmill after I got the kids to sleep.... I think I can break my 25 mile goal for the month, btu coming off of a 3 month couch ride we shall see....

I am Ralph from Charlotte, I am runner (was anyway), and my wife does tri's. We have been on BT for going on two years and members of a local tri group (Queen City Tri Club). I have 3 kids (17, 10, 6). My goal is to get my aazzzz off the couch and get the 10 ponds I have picked up back off me and then some...

I am glad to be a chokie, and look forward to steaming the other teams!

I used to run constant sub 8-9, which isn't to bad for a 40+ ex-smoker that didn't climb off the couch until 2 years ago... Right now I just want to get to sub 11.. LOL I told myself I would change the avatar when I quit running like a sloth....

Today is a rest day.... Tommorrow is 5 alone & 5 with the wife.... The weather in Kansas is going to turn cool so I might start running after work.....

I have my eyes set on this ultra called the Patriots Run http://www.patriotsrun.us/ It takes place on Sept 11 at a park within a 5 minute walk from our home..... hmmmm hmmmm It's only 25 bucks.... hmmmm..... the course record is 56 miles in 9 hours & 11 minutes (That's a 9:50 pace)..... Don't think I can do that but it would be fun attempt.... Pending weather I might give it a shot.... I will leave it as TBD

Interesting event. I might be good for 9.11 laps but definitely not 9hr 11min of running.

Plan on getting in a couple of iles on the hamsterwheel after I get the kids to bed... Great time to run for me, but I would rather run in the morning....

Had a 5k planned for the weekend, but it looks like Little Hurricane Princess Hanna has a different set of plans for us.. Yeah.. more flooding, just what we need...

Dear Team Captains,

This is the first weekend of reporting.  Please email me your results by Sunday.  The earlier the better!!

My email is shawnbarr99@ yahoo.com.

What I need:

·         Each team members name and their miles run from 9/1 to 9/6

It would be a good idea if you PM all your team members today and remind them to post their miles asap and definitely before Saturday night.

Thanks for being a captain!! Please let me know if you have questions.

Thanks!!

ps...whew, this community organizer stuff is hard work :-)

If we have to get them on the spreadsheet by Satuday night, I must commit to my 5 now.  Heading in to Madison for IM Moo, not doing, volunteering and jock strapping on Saturday.

OHHHHH - Team Captains,

If your team members do NOT have anything posted by Saturday night.  Just send me what they have; even if it is ZERO.

There's no way I or you can wait around for people to post their miles.

Having a big, fat ZERO or forgetting to log miles will be great fodder for Harassment and Trash Talking next week.

Thanks!!

Ps...once I have your numbers and post results on Monday, I will not make adjustment for people who whine, "I forgot to post my miles."  Babies.

Runnin' god has spoken.

Good Morning Chokies!

Hanna is making her presence know here in the mid-Atlantic; I hope your weather is better for running than mine.

Today is the last day of the first week of the challenge. The month is 20% over so if you are not at 20% of your goal then you are running behind. I will be reporting our mileage tomorrow. Please put your runs onto the spreadsheet. Thanks!

Go artichokes!

I got my running logged for this week. I did just under 4 hours of running this week- bringing me to about 20% of my goal.

How is everyone doing with their running this week?

Hi,

Our reported results for week one are:

1for1    9.3    37.20%
trainergirlmick    15.52    24.63%
amyro1234    3.9    20.53%
mdhillslug    7.13    18.52%
naners    8.35    10.44%
Ott13979    17    8.50%
uclamatt2007    2.97    5.94%
sealiongirl    0.8    5.71%

As of Saturday the month was 20% finished. So, highest kudos go to Ralph (1for1), Michele (trainergirlmick), and Amy (amtro1234) for being ahead of goal. The rest of us have work to do. I know that some of you are racing today so the breakup of the weeks was not advantageous for the first week. There's still 24 days to reach our goals.

Good start to the challenge!
