Packet pickup is posted.

 Thursday - Plano Cycling, 11-1 and 4-7

Friday - Bicycles Plus Coppell. 12-6

Not very friendly to those of us in Fort Worth.  Going to be a stretch to get over to one of those.

Doesn't it seem logical to have a convenient location for the majority of the race patrons? Coppell is This location is 15 miles from Keller itself.

This is one of my constant frustrations with DSU.  Last year, all of their packet pickups were at Kroger stores in Flower Mound.  Very inconvenient.

Especially with the race being on Saturday, I have to work in Ft. Worth all day and then get to Coppell or Plano.  Major pain in the butt

I e-mailed Dan and I was basically told "...it is what it is...". I think DSU puts onm great races and I love Tom's antics. I just hope they listen this time and make a slight change.

I know a few people who have emailed them including myself requesting an alternate packet pickup.  It will be near impossible for those of us who  live and work in Ft. Worth to make it to either one of those before the store closes.  Coppell is a little closer than plano but their will be brutal traffic trying to get out there on Friday evening after work.  We will see if they take any of this into consideration or not.  I hope they do.  It just sucks because both of those packet pickup locations pretty much service the same people.

Why was it 80 this saturday, and only going to be in the 50's this saturday.  This is some evil trick to mess with me, I just know it!

Looks like race time it will be in the low 40s!  Of course this could change between now and then!  I may be looking at a 10 minute transition from swim to bike to bundle up!  :-)

It's not looking good, that's for sure.  There is supposed to be a warm front moving in later in the week from the south but it's supposed to rise over the cold front moving in from the north.  So...... it won't do us any good really.  I would prepare for cold weather.

Bring on the cold. I run way faster when it's cool out. Bike is short enough I can suffer for a while.

Anyone know how transition out of the water will be?  Never done a pool swim tri before.  I can't really see running on the pool deck, unless there is some type of floor covering.  Although that might make it a fun race for spectators. Smile

They will have astro turf down to run on to the parking lot - from there you are on the parking lot which has been cleaned, somewhat, so watch the little rocks that hurt like he##.

Still do be careful on the Astroturf, especially if you are one of the later swimmers, as it may be slick. I was in the middle of the pack last year and it was a little slick when I ran out.

well if it's raining, that does mean that it's above 32 degree's   right??

I'm brining my wetsuit for this race,, and I'm not taking it off after the swim,,,
