Oh wait...wishful thinking I guess!

Last week was a blast! We actually had 5 people total!

Doing it again this week, 6-25-09.... anyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Can a newbie on a MTB w/ slicks join the hill work out?

Sure! Come on out! You can't get lost. Although, you might not be able to stay with the pack... BUT you will get an amazing workout!

AND I just looked at your logs... a 18+ mph average on a mountain bike? You will probably leave us in the dust buddy!



Gary, you bring those kickboards and let me beat you with one of them.

I usually do hills on Tuesday, but since I'm crit racing tonight...I'll see you guys on Thursday.

If you see this bike out there tomorrow - just yell at me - love to meet you guys. Last time to practice some hills before BSLT!

Will look for you. But BSLT is this weekend right? Resting might be OK too.

I'll see you guys out there...but I usually get there around 6 and park at gecko in austin ranch.  I'll just be up and down on the big windhaven hill...everytime I try that clover approach I get stopped by that dam traffic light and it drives me bananas!!!!

Hopefully I can make it.. I usually ride over just do a few hills then ride home..

Of course, I'm sure you will have a kickboard strapped to your back, so it should be easier that way.

And I'm fine. The better team won the series.

stay inside I drained a 64oz camelback of water for just over an hour ride in this heat...

I just saw this thread, I did my ride bright and early this morning. I have been looking for some riding partners, I get bored by my self all the time. If its cool I will have to show up next week.

That was more fun than shoving an ice pick thru my eye!  Yay for Windhaven aka Satan's Butt Crac (SBC).

I'm showing 110 ft climb over 0.45mi (2376 ft).  Which should work out to 4.63% grade.

Here's my heart rate vs elevation graph.  I did it 3x and started cramping.  Not good.

Man. I feel horrible!

I saw Gary and Ken at the top of our first hill repeat. I thought they were going to follow us... so we kept doing. Nope. Not there. Then I went down the hill, since I brake the whole way down I figured they would fly by me. Nope.

Never got in the same area to loop around to ride with them... then they went home. I never even stopped to talk. SORRY GUYS! I feel really bad for not stopping. Next time, I stop!

Aimee and did it 8 times. 4 of those times (probably more for Aimee) was in the big chain ring. Gotta make it challenging. Of course, I was going 6 mph, but whatever.

Saw Brandon briefly as well. He tried to tempt us with beers... but we both said we had to ride some more.

In case anyone is wondering...hill repeats WORK!  The hills at BSLT were EASY.  I give credit to riding hill repeats at Windhaven and riding hills in Forestburg. 

I'm also thinking we should all have fun after the ride!!!

Would anyone be up for dinner afterwards? I don't have to work Friday... so why not hang out after the ride.

Of course, this is coming from the girl with no husband or kids at home waiting on her.

I'm sure most people have to go home to their spouses and/or kiddos.

I am setting up a deal with my step-daughter to watch my son on Thursdays (usually he comes to work with me W-F)....That should kick in next week and I will be there to get my bootie kicked.  Tired of going back and forth at the races with kickboard boy, cant let him get an advantage for the next race.
