Subject: RE: Hotter N Hell 100I passed the guys from Denton today when I was heading back to Fort Worth. Yesterday was fun, but my bike jacked me some. I could only ride in the big chainring, when I shifted to the small and then back up, it would throw my chain.
I've never seen such a bad start, 4 ambulances in the first 12 miles. Plus, the first 20 miles looked like a mine field of water bottles. Seriously, there were water bottles everywhere, especially in the first 10 miles. What was going on??? People need to practice this stuff before they try to do it on a 2-lane road with 14K other people.
Congrats to Wes from Plano who bagged his first century - shoot, his first ride ever over 42 miles. Impressive. Glad we got to ride it in together.
Hope we can get a group together for next year. I camped on the river right by the start and it was perfect. We could have a BT headquarters down there - only about 300 yards from MPEC.
