The sprint swim seemed a lot longer, and took a lot longer, than my normal 750 meters.  Anyone else do the sprint and wonder about that?

I had the same impression about the sprint swim.  It definitely took me longer to swim it as well.  After the race I was talking to a few other people who felt the same thing.  I suspect it was just all the chop created from all the swimmers in the water slowing everyone down.  It was definitely a lot easier to swim in to the shore than out to the buoy.

I had never done this race before.  I thought it was a very well run event and a great race overall.  I was a little disappointed after I finished to see people going back to transition to get their stuff before some slower racers were completed with T2.  That would be my only complaint about how it was run.  Other than that everyone was very helpful and the race director made it pretty clear what was going on at all times.

Thanks for the link.  I was also wondering about the delay.

I just wanna say "Great Job" to everyone that participated and/or finished.  It was a very challenging course with the winds and heat.  I know I was wishing for that Finish shoot around mile 3 of the 10K and those miles just kept staying in front of me.

Tony, it was nice seeing you a few times on the run course.  "You" were the one that was flying.  Your run split was me on a good day, but I was hurting and was paying for it on the run course.  All I could think was, "you'll just crash if you let Tony catch you".  I'll be honest, it was the only think that kept me running instead of taking a walk break.

I hope you and Crowny settled up after the race and now that you know the official results.

Again, Congratulations to all.

So I says to myself: Eddie why don't you go to Brightroom.com and register for your race day pictures for the Pleasant Prairie Tri?
So I answer to myself:  Sure Eddie, I think I will.

And what to I find?  Tony (2goggs) is on ANOTHER EVENT HOMEPAGE!!!!  That makes two for the year.  Tony, do you know someone in the biz?  Can you introduce me?  How about working the angle to get some sponsorship.  You know, for the effort?

You guys have to find this weirdly funny, no?

OK - this is more of a Pleasant Prairie 8/15 post --

Quick kudos to my son Jeremy - who had his second straight podium finish in the Junior Triathlon on Saturday with a 3rd place finish - following his 2nd place in the age group at Harbor Lights.

And no - you don't get to use my bike in Chicago!

Congrats to all on finishing - hope to be back competing in PP next year (tough choice between this and Race the Lake).

Congratulations Jeremy!

And yes, Amy, they had to change the route to loop back around the lake because of construction. the finish wasn't that closed in, I'm just so bulky it only looks that way from afar.
