Since I'm still very new to all this and my first Tri is in April, I'm currently working on my weakest discipline - running. Therefore I've put down 13 running sessions (which is the exact amount my plan calls for and will make sure I don't miss any) and 12 strength sessions. Completed my first run today even though it was raining as I didn't want to let the team down on the very first day! Way to go! My first planned session is tomorrow. |

Veteran 194 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Hi all! I'm so excited to be doing this challenge. I've taken close to a year off from competition after hitting a major burnout in 2008, when I did my first half ironman in August and then went right into marathon training, doing the Goofy Challenge (1/2 marathon Saturday, full marathon Sunday) in January of this year. I think I've finally gotten my fitness mojo back and I'm ready to hit the ground running...literally. I've done a few challenges in the past and they were great motivators, and I'm looking forward to an inspiring month. I feel like I'm starting as a couch potato, so this challenge will be good for me in terms of simply logging miles and pool meters, without judging myself on time. That's the first step back, I think. =-) Velveeta (Stacy) |

I am just coming back from DNFing at Ironman WI in September so I am still having difficulties getting on with my life. I am signed up for the Disney Marathon in January! I see I am not alone so my goal reflects that.... 16 run sessions for the month. I need lots of encouragement. I have had a really hard time getting back on my feet and moving on from not finishing my goals this year. Please keep at me... I should be doing 4 runs a week or there abouts. Good luck everyone! |

Does anyone know how to put everyone's name and link to their blogs on the graphic? I don't, but that was really handy when sending out inspires and such. The person who did it on my last challenge team is on a different team this month. If no one knows how to do it, I could contact him and ask for instructions. |

I'd love to hear any advice you might have! I look forward to hearing about your Marathon! Stuffed Turkeys is alright by me and crea0029 would make a fine leader. I'm figuring out my goal right now. I think It's just going to be X # of trainer sessions. I wanted to start today, but my legs are a little fried (DOMS) from yesterdays 15k. Edited by IdealMuse 2009-11-02 4:06 PM |
