Subject: RE: 2006 Tampa Bay Marathon...who's up for it?Here's something to entice you... general map of the area. The bays are less than 10 minutes from my house, either direction. Rattlefish Bar & Grill is at the docks; we can enjoy gorgeous sunsets while enjoying cold beer or umbrella-laden exotic concoctions. Oh, and live music on the deck. Trendy. Green Iguana. Cold beer and burgers or grouper sandwiches. Sit inside where there is live music or outside in the palm frond covered deck. Eclectic clientele (DINKys, singles, bikers, drunk crazy chicks hollering about squirrels, etc). Hooters - 2, one within 5 minutes of my house, the other a whopping 10 minutes away in trendy Channelside. Cold beer, etc. Publix (for your gallon of milk) is just 5 minutes away but I will keep a fridge chock full of goodies so you needn't step foot in it (unless we run out of beer!). Pane Rustica for pre-race pasta dinner. Best restaurant in town. Chef owner prepares fresh food deliciously. A whopping 7 minute drive from my hacienda. Bayshore Blvd just 5 minutes away. For insomniacs like me, great place for late night runs. I figure if I commit my house to fellow BTers, there's no way I will backout of the marathon run! I need that kind of peer pressure.
